Shared on facebook & twitter & on Facebook Companion Cavalier page. I too have a cavalier & can't imagine what agony the owner must be going through.

Sorry there is no news on Ziggy yet. Have you contacted the authorities who deal with the waterways?

Heath, Ziggy's mum tells me it was the canal at Alrewas right near the Indian restaurant and small bridge by bagnall lock. Also that if anyone searches on burton mail (burton on Trent) then puts missing ziggy in search they will see more too. Hope that helps!

There are still no posters up in Fradley I have no printer to do them myself.

It would be helpful to know exactly where he was lost, with all the canals in this area.Last edited: 2013-01-31 15:16:44 by heath

I walk my dog in Fradley,I will spread the word about Ziggy.I havent seen any posters for him up.

I was lucky enough to find a lost labrador Wednesday night and reunite him with his owner the next day.

I hope Ziggy is found safe and well soon.

Can I ask which bit of the canal was he lost on? South towards Fradley Junction or North towards Wychnor?

No news as yet owner has postered along the canal.

Just a thought - if a dog gets lost in a field, it is often because he has gone to rummage in a ditch or hedge bottom and followed a scent along until he decides to come back out, which may turn out to be in a completely different field. He can then get confused and go running round trying to look for somewhere he knows. Search all neighbouring fields and poster like mad!

Have advised owner to poster asap and hand out flyers to dog walkers. He could also try local radio and check sites on the internet. He could also contact the waterways.
