That is such good news. I have been following Lesters story - he is the spitting image of my springer. He is a clever boy to find his way home. We have had lots of good reunions on Dog lost in the last couple of days. Hope it continues. xx

Hi All, Many thanks for your kind support. I must confess that the number of Facebook followers and kind words I have received have been overwhelming. To pick up on Sue's comment I can't be sure the sightings were of Lester but I did have the feeling he was trying to find his way home. Maybe the snow put him off the trail. The happy news is the Lester has indeed found his way home after two weeks, a bit thinner and much dirtier but otherwise he seemed to be in good health.

I was in the garden when I heard a whimpering from next door's, looked over the fence and there he was. Whether he had been taken in or had been wandering I will never know I suppose. Thanks again to all.

I'll be making a donation to Doglost.

Best wishes

Damian

Hi, I really hope you find Lester! We live in Abbots Bromley and we have been looking for him when we take our own Springer out for a walk! We even take a spare lead just in case. If there are any more sightings in Handsacre we will be happy to go there and search!
plannerpaul
Hello there, really sorry to hear about Lester. I do hope you find him very soon. We had a poster put through my door. We live in Handsacre and we have a Cocker Spaniel ourselves. We've been on the lookout for Lester when we've been out and about and have also checked our garden. Just out of curiosity, a second poster was popped through the door with a note attached, it mentioned that you used to live in Handsacre but that you've moved to Abbotts Bromley, it was signed Damian. I purchased my house off someone called Damian who also happened to have a liver and white springer spaniel. I'm not sure you're the same person. If you are and Lester is trying to find his way to his old home then maybe there's something additional we can do to help? Let us know. In the meantime we'll keep checking the garden and side passage.

I'm not too far away in Penkridge, so if you need a hand searching, I'd be happy to pop over with my springer boy. So hope he's found safe and sound soon x

It sounds like Lester may be/have been trying to make his way back to his old home. I hope you can get some more details from the person who saw him.

Hi All, I have had a call this morning that a Springer Spaniel matching Lester's decsription was seen in Handsacre (WS15). This is about 6 miles from his home but we used to live there so it may well be him. Someone tried to catch him but was unable to. Have a number of people out looking but any additional help would be much appreciated. Here's hoping. Thanks
Leicesterfox
Hi Sue, thanks for responding. Not mine then as my dog is chipped. Home you are able to find the owner. Thanks again.

I have had a report of a springer spaniel being sighted in Henesford which is about 8 miles from Abbots Bromley. The postcode is ws12 if you are able to spread the word. Apparently the sighting has been listed on Facebook. I will be 'friending' someone who has received information of the posting and will update any details. Please be alert in W12. I have been out to Henesford today and have put up some posters but more would great. Thanks for all your support.
