I am so glad she has been returned to you. It is about time that the law was changed to be able to charge these people with theft and give a hefty fine. Might make them think twice.

The travellers always think themselves higher than anybody else and above the law! So sorry to see that she was stolen but mighty pleased that she has been recovered and returned to her rightful owner. Stay safe lovely girl xx

First time I have seen this dog's page. Must have missed it. Brilliant news that this girl is now home safe. Just who do these bleeding Travellers think they are stealing family pets and selling them on. Thank god the police got involved with this one and disgrace on the vets. Shocking!

she is now been found , vet never checked her ear marks even though she said she did nor did they inform police ect that she was there , they put her on a localsite saying she was handed in and then was collected within a couple of hours , we recieved a call last night saying were she was and then was reunited , people who had her bought her off gypsys a couple of weeks ago , thanks to all for your help ,,

Gather as many photos of Kirk that you have.
hopefully the police can check the documentation to see if microchip/tattoos were checked for.
Also need to find out the route by which this dog was claimed and where a name, address and telephone number were logged.

dog is still missing ,,been to st clairs tonight they said the owner collected dog from there same day ,, she def looks like her may be a coincedence the markings ect ,, they said she had no ear marks but not convinced they checked i informed police officer who is dealing with case , he is calling in tomorrow to have a word ,, hopefully he may be able to check cctv footage that they have and get a better look at markings ,,i will keep u informed ,, thanks for your post ,

There is a post on St-Clair Veterinary Care saying a female dog 'found on Cowpen Road, Blyth next to the Fire Station running on the road - reunited with owner.' The dog in the picture looks very similar to Kirk. Pls can owner confirm? x

dog is now known to be taken from northeast to inverness by travellers information given to us by police

I'm really sorry to hear that your dog is missing, presumed stolen. I'm in East Lothian in Scotland. How do you know that the gypsies have taken her to Scotland and do you know which area? x
