Forgot to add a warning for anyone in Amble area as there are a couple of Akida dogs that have attacked a Labrador. The police can't do anything as the Lab was off it's lead. Time to be vigilant - I'd hate to hear of another dog suffering the same fate.

Shhhh not telling Mac about the (V E T) as he did the disappearing act hours before the last appointment - I'm afraid the chop was always on the cards too. I'm a great believer in chips - I would never have got the cat back after 14 months on the run without one!
If anyone is around Amble, there's always time for a coffee at Spurrelis - you can sit outside with dogs and water is provided. Perfect after a romp on the beach. I'm sure Mac would love to see Belle again - once he's recovered from his op that is! Thank you all again. Sylvia, Trevor and Bazil the coffees are on me (and ice cream!).

Glad that he is settled. Belle is speyed, but Mac was still interested! We wouldn't have got near him without her. She was as good as gold, so proud of her. Belle didn't get a bath, just a good swim in the North Sea.
Please keep in touch and let me know how he is.

Mac is settled. he's lying here while I type this. He's had a bath and an appointment is booked with the vet for thursday for the chip shortly followed by the chop although Sprollies are lovely dogs ( I hear there was a bit of attraction). I cannot thank everyone enough - there are still helpful people around. I wasn't able to be there but my boss had the website on so we were able to follow. I think the whole office held it's breath & the office next door certainly knew when he was safe! thank you all again and many times over xx

Delighted to be able to help. Don't worry about the mud, that's why washing machines were invented. Hope Mac is settled and resting now and that your mind is at rest.

Yipee Mac has been caught safe. He should be home now. Will let owner update you. Mac is very dirty and agitated, hope he settles quickly. Welcome home Mac and well done to Trevor, Dave, Sylvia and anyone else who helped search for this lovely boy x

Trevor and Dave there now with Mac in sight next to farm. Farmer has given permission for them to surround field. I believe Sylvia (Kip) is on her way, any help appreciated. Mac is pacing backwards and forwards in corner of the field.
According to farmer he saw Mac yesterday and tel the police, who did nothing!

Appeal for help to catch Mac. Anyone in the area now. Trevor has just sighted Mac in a field near to the entrance of the Nature reserve. There is a farm nearby. Will keep updating I have spoke to person on 2nd mobile number, he is on his way to help Trevor.

So sorry to read Mac is still missing. Can anyone out looking for Mac get some posters up around Hauxley and the Caravan sites in that area too. Poster poster poster, they really do help, maybe write on the poster for anyone reading it, asking them to enter contact tel numbers into their mobile if they have one or make a note of them. If Mac is sighted they can phone immediately. Good luck, I was hoping to come up and help but really busy at the moment. Stay safe Mac but be seen xx

A couple of possible sightings areound Hauxley today. have been down a couple of times today. There is a poster up in the village. Mac has only been with us for two weeks and is new to the area. He is very wary of strangers and has run away when anyone has approached him. We are always 30 mins or so behind him and he has disappeared before we can get to where he has been sighted. He disappeared a couple of hours before his appointment with a micro chip.

Lads are keeping their eyes open around hadston. will also keep watch out when out with my 2. If there are any organised searches there's a lot of people here that'll want to help! Hope he's found safe very soon xx

Will be down running our pack tonight in the Druridge Country Park tonight so we will keep a look out case he has come back that way ... sure this is the same dog that we found running free in 2012 but could not catch .. fingers & paws crossed this boy is home soon
