Toni! You & yr wonderful husband need a medal for reuniting my furbaby with my human baby.. my son was so overwhelmed when he saw her that he rang me & couldnt speak except to say "we got her back mum, we got her back" (you have met her, so can understand why my son was so heartbroken - she is such a good natured sweetheart & so loving) Im sure this will be the best Xmas ever for him now that Shelby is back home..
Thankyou. From the bottom of our hearts.. xxx

I'm so glad she is home safe. I work at a vets in Bamber brige and I'm a huge animal lover I have 3 big dogs myself which me and my husand adore, we would be heart broken if any of them when missing and I would like to think somene would stop and pick my dog up and take her some where safe if they did. She is a real sweetie, my husband just scooped her up and she sat in my car lovely. Im so glad its a happy ending x

Hi nina. I had already mentioned it, yes & apologised if there was any confusion. My son was unaware I had already approached dogs lost.
Anyway. Shelby has been found this morning & has now been reunited with her family. Jon is going back to where he placed the posters & is removing them now. thankyou for your help. x

Where posters are concerned try and put them in plastic pockets with the openeing at the bottom, hopefully the rain will not affect anyone reading them then. Good luck.
Maggie
I made a poster for Shelby and put it on my group on FB, someones made a comment saying they saw Shelby this morning:
"I was driving home early hours this morn about 5am after being with a sick relative at the hosp and i had to swerve to miss what i thought was a fox just before reaching cromwell road, when checking my mirrors i realise it was in fact a staffie dog matching this discription perfectly, unfortunately i wouldnt have been able to catch her as she was running quite fast, but i can say with certainty that it was this dog and if i'd have known the number to ring last night i wud have done immediately, i hope she is returned to u safely but please take some comfort in knowing she was defenately fit and well this morning"

I've sent a message on FB to Kls1507

Hi, my son didnt realise I had already posted this & added shelby again. Sorry, hope it doesnt cause too much confusion.. :-(
Shelby still not home. & she Seems to have moved from the area as she has not been sighted today. He has managed to print some posters so has been out this afternoon in the areas where shelby has been seen.
Thanks to everyone on fb, (friends & complete strangers) who have helped Jon by posting her picture, calling me or physically out looking for her.
There are still so may kind people.. x

Doglost often recomend the scenting method of trying to get a dog home. What it means is leaving a trail of sprinkled urine from a bottle possibly and then leaving a trail that the dog can follow home. If you come in contact with the dog crouch down to a low level and speak in quiet tones to encourage the dog to you. I can see that your son does not have access to a printer contact HQ and they may possibley have someone availble to give proper advice. Good luck.

Just received this email from the owner..

my son has literally 'just missed' her.
would you have any helpers in that area to poster? (My son doesnt know many people in the area & has been on the streets, on his own, looking for her since last night, & has no access to a printer..) I live in guernsey & cannot help at all other than phone calls, messages etc.

I've replied, but can anybody help with postering to help find Shelby

Stay safe Shelby until we can help you get back home xxLast edited: 2012-12-21 19:43:15 by Goldenfrodo

Shelby has been seen in the Greenlands labour club / Chatburn Rd area of Preston this evening, Friday 21st december. There are a few people looking for her, but she seems to be very scared & when called she is responding, then running away.. My son is still out there - but keeps missing the area by a few minutes.

I have just read on a facebook post for Shelby that she has been seen this morning 21 dec in the woodlands nursery/ ribbleton ave area of preston.
