Just realised my post from when Eric got home has disappeared. I have also moved Eric's real photo from the duplicate page over to here (which was using a similar dog's picture until we got the right one), so we can now close the duplicate page. I received a text from owners when Eric got home. They advised me the same as Sara has said below. I was over the moon to hear this! Such a happy ending as both dogs are safe and together again. Well done everyone! You did it! Welcome home Eric. xxx

I can absolutely confirm that Eric has been found and is home with Ernie. He was missing for a total of 16 days however apart from some weight loss all is well xx There is also a duplicate page that has been opened on here for Eric. So good news! They can both be closed :0)

Can everyone keep an eye out along this road and if possible check ditches and bushes where people don't necessarily walk or see. We are hoping someone has Eric and didn't know who to call, but something badly upset Ernie so we need to check everything in order to rule it out. It could be that Ernie was in a distressed situation and Eric was picked up by someone and Ernie didn't know where his brother had gone. Or something happened to Eric that upset Ernie. You just never know, but we must check. Please help us. Thank you. x

Eric is brother to my little lab and I live not far from them along Mangrove Lane. This wood backs onto Danemead Wood, Broxbourne Woods and covers a very large area. Exits out could be Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Brickendon, Hertford. They are very dense woods and ripe with deer etc. I will print some posters off today and post through to local farms etc, Highfield, Monks Green. I am Hertford based and I have not seen any posters, so will do my best to cover this area and the Brickendon side of the woods. Where these boys live runs very close to the A10 :0( let's hope they were running in the opposite direction. Please feel free to contact me on 07976 042594 if I can do any more.

Eric was with his brother Ernie, they were lost on 11th and Ernie arrived home on 13th in a traumatised state. We feel something has happened to Eric but we don't know what. I have been told there are no railway lines close, but the A10 is close. However, we do know that dogs can run a few miles if something upsets them, so all areas need to be covered. Can anyone out there please advise of any thoughts re the local area? Bear in mind we only have a few days before councils shut down for Xmas so we need info from any Highways people, local people, dog warden etc asap. Thank you.

Eric belongs to a friend of a friend so have some more details. He went missing from Hoddesdon Park Wood (west of Hoddesdon and the A10) on the afternoon of Tues 11th Dec along with his brother Ernie. Ernie returned home on Thursday 13th but Eric hasn't been seen since. He was wearing a red collar with his details on. Please keep a look out for him. There are posters up in the area he went missing from
