Just a thought: Have you spoken to local delivery people, ie. postmen, milkmen, paperboys, etc? They may be persuaded to take a poster with them and would be a position to know if anyone on their rounds had suddenly acquired a dog. Apologies if you've already done this.
Lorraine C
Thanks Jenni xx
Jenni S
Sad to see there's no sign of Stan. Don't give up hope, but do keep postering and checking with dog wardens, etc. I'm still looking out for him and everyone at our stables is on the alert.

Had been hoping there'd be some good news re Stan, but still keeping a look out, as are all the people at our stables.
Lorraine C
Thanks Jenni xx
Jenni S
Hi Lorraine. I expect you've tried all the DW etc, but just in case a good place to try is Castlefield Kennels, 261 High Lane East, West Hallam - 0115 932 2763. They take in strays for the local authority. I've spoken to them in the past about a friend's lost dog and they were very helpful.
Jenni S
Sorry to see there's been no more news re Stan but still looking, and hoping and praying for his safe return home.
Lorraine C
Had a few false alarms....The one found in Ilkeston looked quite like him...
Jenni S
Just checking in on Stan. Will continue to keep an eye out for him, and hope and pray he's soon safely back home.
Lorraine C
I will always have fingers crossed Jenni xxxx
Jenni S
Still have fingers xd for Stan.
Jenni S
Still looking out for Stan. Do hope he's soon found, safe and well. Also that Angi La La's dog is either reclaimed or finds another good home. Otherwise, so sad. Good luck to both of them.
Lorraine C
Thanks Angi.....Hope your boy finds a good home asap x
Angi La La
Hello! Angi from Safe and Sound the pound dog rescue here. We have a possible match to this dog at one of our Midlands pounds. The dog in question is an unclaimed stray and is due to be put to sleep this coming Friday if not reclaimed or if no rescue offers to save him. I have alerted the dog warden to this listing, but she will not be around until tomorrow now.

EDIT: Missing dog is NOT Stan, he has a docked tail. Good luck finding your dog.Last edited: 2013-01-14 19:35:07 by Angi La La

Just a thought - tip I picked up from another page. A helper is leaving poster on dashboard when parked up - particularly helpful in area of any sightings, but I will now also leave Stan's and other dogs lost locally posters on my dashboard wherever parked. Do hope this lad's soon safely back home - who could not love him?!!

Sorry to see Stan is still missing. Forgot to say, have put up poster at my horse's livery yard. It's a bit out of your area but with other liveries from different places and visiting vets, farriers, etc., it's worth a go. Do hope there's some good news soon.

could this be him - one has been found today in derbyshire id number - 46483
Lorraine C
Have looked on preloved, it is not Stan, but thank you
Unknown
Have notified owner of an ad on Preloved.
Lorraine C
There is a strong possibility that Stan was stolen. Although there is no evidence so the police will not take any action. The fact that there have been no sightings of a stray Rottie on the streets supports this. I am sure some one has him.
Lorraine C
Still no news
Lorraine C
Nothing on CCTV. All agencies contacted. Not one sighting, its unbelievable :-(
Dangerousdivarottielover
Posted on FB, hope you find him.

Spoke to owner. She feels he hasn't been stolen because the gate was padlocked and the wall is 8' high. She thinks he has scaled the wall himself. Apparently someone was seen holding a black dog by a collar near some flats. Owner is waiting for cctv to be looked at.
Unknown
Owner needs to contact DW, vets, chip company and to poster asap. Owner needs to check sites on the internet and to speak to local people and dog walkers and post flyers through letter boxes. Owner also needs to visit the pound and to contact the Highways Agency and Railtrack (if necessary) also contact local farmers.
