- I really hope you find your Dog.. I've just been through the same hell - my dog was taken in Feltham on 28th November - I put up posters everywhere - got an article in the Staines Informer offerring a reward and within hours of it going to print the dognappers made contact.... it cost me £800 to get her back but it was worth every penny - my advice would be to put an advert in the paper but just say Cash Reward... these people play on your emotions so have your witts about you... also make sure you inform the police - not that they can do much (these guys were in an unregisterd vehicle with fake plates)...

- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Very dark colouring so people may not recognise him as a golden retriever. Hope he's home soon.
