Gerry, I think we should get the local paper to follow up on this. If you can bear it we can use the 'in limbo' bit and appeal to anyone who may have Jake. In the meantime I would also suggest some more postering.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please contact Jesters mum, if you haven't already, as she knows only too well what you are going through. It must be awful not having a conclusion to all this. I hope you didn't mind me ringing yesterday. Hope you are able to get some info soon. Take care.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Look at the posting which is 4 down from yours. 29/10/05. Terrier Staffordshire bull Cross bitch, North M23. The dogs name is Sasha. Go to a posting from Jestersmum. She may be able to help you. If you click into the PM thing and write a message to her asking if she can help. Wishing you all the luck in the world to a conclusion on this. Not knowing must be so awful. Take care. There are people you can contact with regards RTA's. I'm not sure who they are but someone on here will be able to tell you. I really hope it wasn't Jake involved in this. Will be thinking of you. Take care. Sue.xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to let everyone know that the day the article appeared in the paper the police called to say that on the day Jake disappeared a black and white dog was killed on the motorway quite close to where we live. I had called the police every second day to see if they had information but it took them 3 weeks to let us know about the dog on the motorway. The coincidence is too great for it not to be him. But I do'nt know what happened to him from there on, I would like to thank everyone for their help and support. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

still no news on jake yet but we are still living in hope. Sorry Jayne of the mis-spelling of your name. There is a story in our local paper today so hopefully that will jog someones memory. I don't know what we will do if that turns up nothing. We live next to a railway and have received a letter to say that no dos have been found near there so that is some consolation. Thanks nik I did have an advert in last week and they have contacted me today to run an article instead of placing an add, so hopefully that will have more of an impact in the area. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Garry, if you haven't already done so, please contact the Dunfermlin Press on 01383 728201. Stress that Jake is a puppy and that theft of SBT is one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thankyou gypsybird i do appreciate any help and will recommend your website to all stafford owners. I too did not realise the amount of dogs that go missing until I lost Jake. It is truly heartbreaking to know that this is so widespread. Since losing Jake the horror stories that I have heard is unbelievable. The people that do this cannot be true animal lovers or they would understand what owners go through.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
