Please check ID 105064, colouring different but perhaps Maisie has changed with age and environment? Floppy right ear!Last edited: 2016-09-24 10:18:53 by Abe babe

Please take a look at this girl - she has the white spot on chest by the looks and the ears (they are the wrong way round but just in case photo has been flipped by mistake) need to rule her out - https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12241593_1643661209248253_7618264003630224956_n.jpg?oh=f3c9991261a947a4eb46e68b014fc13b&oe=56F08F30

47046? female terrier found Gateshead NE10. She doesn't appear to have a chip but .....? and the right ear is down, but... still worth a look Rosanna?
Kx
Abe babe
Rosanna take a look at 46587...?
Probably not her but always worth looking at any terrier, especially as Maisie may look a bit different due to her 'adventures'.
Abe babe
Still thinking of you little one and praying for your safe return. Sending your family love and hugs. I'm sure I know what they want this Christmas. K x
Sending hugs too for those who are also missing their little friends.

Thank you Abe babe, I know when I spoke to you you were then thawing out!! Well done on eveything you are doing to help get Maisie home, I know her family are very grateful xxx
Abe babe
Gosh, very icy and foggy today, good job dogs are tougher than us! I spread the net wider today and searched new ground, and put up posters further afield. It's heart-warming to stop and talk to people and find they already know and are looking out for her.... X
Abe babe
Did a few hours leg work this morning and returned again for a while this afternoon to follow a little line of inspiration I'd had, but the fading light and blizzard conditions beat me.
I will return again tomorrow morning to continue (and to check the sand unless you beat me to that Rosanna). Love to you all. x

I have bumped Maisie because of this possible sighting. Hopefully Rosanna you will be able to find out more today x
Rosanna
A man in the pub in Rede said he saw a dog tied up outside Wickhambrook shop this morning which looked very like Maisie and the man who had her had never been seen with a dog before. He must have been a local if he walked with this dog. Will go back tomorrow and have a look. We have also put a lot of posters up around everywhere.

I've just looked on google maps at the line of the ditch I walked that had the concrete culvert (over a foot in diameter)... when I followed the line of the ditch I ended up at the junction of Mill Road and Church Road. Does anyone local know where the water course runs? where would it open out? I'll check the woods tomorrow but hope I don't trespass as there's obviously pheasant breeding around there.Last edited: 2012-12-07 18:51:42 by Abe babe
Abe babe
Walked fields around her home, light was fading so didn't go near woods on my own (wus). Searched ditches on road, some of which are very swollen. Put up posters, handed some out and spoke with several helpful people including a very nice farmer who was worried I was up to no good. I will go back tomorrow and put up more posters. There was a concrete culvert which I want to investigate, I'd like to know where it comes out, (it's at the end of a ditch which runs down the left side of Maisie's home), I walked it's length till I came to a road but no opening? need to look on map. Maisie where are you?
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
Thank you Abe babe for going out to help search and poster for Maisie x
Abe babe
I will be there shortly to walk area and will take posters with me.
Help us find you maisie. x

Sorry I am not able to help at the moment as am poorly. Contact Forest Heath and St Edmundsbury Environmental health as you are close to both. Contact all vets, farmers and gamekeepers. Poster the area heavily and put flyers through doors and give to dog walkers and any horse riders/stables, posters need to be laminated or enclosed in cheap poly pockets as it is so wet. Chevington is a rambling village can we narrow down the area to start search. Stay safe little Maisie until you are found. Good Luck xx

I have spoken to the owner and Maise escaped from the garden along with another dog who has since returned. There is a wood nearby and the owner thinks she has possibly gone hunting in there. The Dog Warden has been notified and I have advised to contact vets in the area too.
I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in the area. I will Maise's details to Dog Lost Norfolk and Suffolk facebook group and other groups in the area.
Keep safe Maisie until you are found xxx

I will contact the owner.
