After speaking to the vet staff I ws sent nother photo of this girl. Sadly it is not 40231.

Can somebody ask vets to compare against 40231, her mother was recovered fron Essex earlier this year. I will not be able to contact as I will be at work.

The finder sent the details in and gave us the vets details as a contact - dog should get passed to dog wardens tomorrow

If this dog has been taken to the vets, how can they not know the gender and if it is microchipped?

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
