Thanks Deb4gsd I have not watched it myself yet with any sound, sound not working on laptop, no good at lip reading. From what I could see they did great. Hamilton was a little star. x

Hi, watched the show today, well done all, let's hope it brings good results :) but it wasn't Cloud on the show, it was a Samoyed called Hamilton! http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=23867

Wonderful news. So happy to see Cloud back with his RIGHTFUL owners. Stay safe now Cloud:-)xxx Nessa. I often see dogs left unattended outside shops etc. If I have time I wait for the owner to return. It`s just not worth the risk. Keep us posted.

When the Daily Express called I did tell them about Mumstaxi's work, so you never know. Unfortunately any stories now will concentrate on the court case rather than the rescue.

Wow mumstaxi i think Clouds owner was very lucky to have you around because your detemination paid off. Good on ya girl never under estimate a doglost volunteer :)
mumstaxi
well where do we start? i picked up the post on facebook last night about 9 pm i think. 5 minutes from me so coat and shoes on and off i went, spoke to clouds owner and got full detilas and a desription of the thief. i knocked many many doors in the surrounding area and one ladys nephew recognised the description , meantime clouds owner had rung around and contacted everyone. i alerted the police and they went to the address where we thought this woman was but ireceived a call about 1.45 am to tell me the dog wasnt there, but that didnt mean anything to me.spoke to clouds owner many times and she had been told of another woman fitting the descritpion in ashton preston, so off i went door knocking this morning and asking people if they recognised her, by this time we were both determined we would find cloud no matter what. i managed to get a house number and camped across the road for a few hours, clouds owner met me there, after talking to a guy o know at the local garage i showed him the poster and he said he saw the dog yesterday just after the time cloud was stolen, and within minutes police vans and flashing blue lights came zooming round the corner. we were asked to cover the back entrance(felt like cagney and lacey) as we got round the back they must have put cloud out at the back (the thief) and the beautiful little dog recognised her owner straight away and started whimpering and crying, two people taken away in handcuffs, witnesses available to say they saw the thief untie the dog at the supermarket and walk away with her and hope fully seen on cctv also the garage man who saw her made a statement to say he saw her with the dog, so good result. a massive thanks to the police officers involved they were brilliant its a pity all the police are not like this, and a massive thank you to clouds owner for the hard work she put in and for being determined to get this stunning dog back. a big thank you to people who were concerned what had happened and the people who gave me leads to follow up. great result and found within 24 hours welcome home cloud

Cloud is home and the people who took him are currently in police custody. The flyers, posters and a massive group effort on Facebook made Cloud too hot to handle. Well done to everyone involved, fantastic teamwork!!!

Welcome Home Cloud, stay safe now and into the blue you go xxx

Thanks Ashmark, I had copied all the details from the other listing but didn't get time to update, didn't need to - great result :)Last edited: 2012-10-24 21:48:30 by Angus

Not sure if the details above are all correct. Owner told me he was wearing a blue harness with a black lead attached and no collar as he was due to be shown in a couple of days time.
