Tx to the helper that is sending posters to a Wigan vet...they have rung this morning to say although you are kindly putting a first class stamp on they are having to pay excess postage and have to go to the post office to collect...if you could fold poster up and put in a normal envelope this would avoid this happening...tx so much for doing what you are doing though....

So pleased that Minty is now safely back home. As for the yobs who were hurting him. it`s a pity they cant be identified, as this is obviously cruelty and a crime. Would they do this to say a male of 6ft? I dont think so, these scumbags are cowards. Anyway it has to be a big thanks to the gentleman for rescuing him from those lowlife. Stay safe now Minty. Please give him a BIG (HUG) from me.xxx

Really pleased to report - I have just spoken to Mintys owner - it was Minty in LCDH - they have him back. He was found locally by a kind gentleman who rescued him from a group of youths who were kicking at him and cycling around and at him. This gentleman took him to LCDH from where his very relieved owners collected him.

They have been round to thank the gentleman that found him and can't thank him enough for saving Minty. They are very happy and relieved to have him home safe. :)xLast edited: 2012-09-09 11:12:07 by skippy

Saw a shihtzu on his own in the backs near the Enfield pub on Enfield st, Pemberton. Parked car up but he had gone when I got out. Must have gone in to someone's yard.! He was white and brown rather than black. He may belong to someone here but I haven't seen him before. Will keep a look out. Last edited: 2012-09-08 22:43:38 by ladysue

Is the picture one of a similar dog? There is a little Shih tzu in Leigh cats and dogs home - found in Wigan area - Wigan ref 577/12 - it appear to have more white than picture, but black muzzle - can't see much of the rest of the markings, but if poster is pf a similar dog, it may be worth the owners taking a look:
