Thanks KayDee for the confirmation, great he is back with his family.

We always say to not rely on description and how important it is to check any possible matches and visit kennels at least once a week. Hope he has now been chipped and they do get him neutered.

I also have a Tri BC. Have great pleasure in moving Rocky into the BLUE, welcome home sending you lots of hugs and cuddles.

Thanks again KayDee for all you have done and to DL helper hippy chick for the text alert to say he was home. :)x

Just had confirmation, 'Rocky' is now home safe :)

Jan, he's a lovely boy. Just a bit over friendly with my two collies which they didn't appreciate lol and that's why I had to let him go with warden. Otherwise I would have gladly kept him for as long as it took to find the owner which I was certain would be looking for him as he was clearly loved and well looked after.

Turns out owner didnt get back from work until just before 6pm and had spent all night driving round looking for him. So you can imagine by the time she'd rang police station and got my details she must have gone through all kinds of emotions and possible scenarios. I'm hoping she'll get him microchipped (and neutered!) :)

Interesting to note the AW description. He's not black, he's a tri (and thats how I described him on the phone) he's also not small. He's taller than my tri collie bitch and I wouldn't describe her as small.

Anyway, that's all bye the bye I suppose.

Owner rang me last night about an hour after animal wardens collected. I rang the warden back and he confirmed Rocky was still in the van but the owner had to ring the office quoting a reference number and they would decide whether he could be dropped off home or not (as he was 'in the system' by then, which is understandable). Turned out he wasn't allowed to go home last night but owner left her details and paid the fine last night (£75). She said she didn't mind he was worth it and is her world.

Just waiting for reply to my text to confirm he's now home.

KayDee, you have done a fantastic job and thank you so much for taking the time to look after him. Great you have uploaded photo/s really does help in reuniting missing ones. Keeping everything crossed he is back home with his family soon. xxx

He's just been collected by Animal Wardens. He'll spend the night in their kennels and then be transferred to Manchester Dogs home tomorrow (Sunday).

Felt absolutely awful seeing him being put in the van :(

Took him for a walk beforehand. He doesn't seem used to lead walks at all, was all over the place. And he floored it when I tried to put the collar on even though he was terribly excited about being 'taken out'. I think he is probably used to be letting straight out - perhaps in a house that backs onto the fields around Matley Lane.

Have just added new, better photos than the one taken in the back of my car.

Rang the dog warden earlier and he will be collected later tonight. I would have preferred to keep him with me to give him a bit longer than the usual 7 days for the owners to be located but my own dogs aren't too happy with the situation sadly :(
Diane
yes it is a duplicate of 41015 and that will be my failt, sorry. I rang him in when i couldnt get online but when i tried to send photo it kept failing. So I added this when i got home and had been to check for a chip x
