Hi, I've rung the council number above to try and get some more information. Everyone's in a meeting, so "Linda" is going to call me back. Will post what I find out - he may have already been reclaimed.

Hi, Not sure where the dog was found but the alert says that Redcar and Cleveland Council are holding it. I'll update the area with the postcode of the council headquarters.

Sorry Folly, I put the name details in wrong, doh! Reading the details from the original facebook alert, it sounds like a male. Not sure if this was the right approach, but i thought i'd make a brief "found" poster as there seems to be a few unchipped golden retrievers still listed as lost. Thanks for offering to alert the local coordinator.

Hard to believe that a male is called Anna! No need to panic about any council not keeping a dog for more than the 7 days as Golden Retriever rescue will always help. If she is not recorded as reunited very soon, I will phone the area co-ordinator for you.

Saw this on facebook: Found today outside Sainsbury's, Larkswood Road. Golden Retriever dog. Very placid nature but not chipped. If you know who's dog this is please contact Redcar & Cleveland council urgently as they now have him and only keep for 7 days
