Just wanted to thank WWDR taking responsibility for this little lot and nurturing them all back to a healthy lot. Big commitment but a good job so lovingly done. Good luck with rehoming. Stolen Tays mum x

"Pixie" and her pups have now served their time and we will be looking for homes for them.... one pup already has an offer (if the lady can persuade her husband!)

I will be adding them to our website at the end of the week. For obvious reasons (especially in this area) we did not give full descriptions of the pups - there are 2, crosses (poss cairn??). Mum is possibly not full Westie - she looks it at first glance but as she has got more confident and has been cleaned up there is just a little something at certain angles suggesting something in her history.
Angel
You're very welcome - Keep up the good work! Glad to hear the pups are now strong enough to be pups!
westwalesdogrescue
Angelmort - an incredibly generous donation received thank you!!!

Apparently the pups were feeling well enough to zoom in and out of the house this morning chasing round the living room, then the garden, then the living room! A big change to when they were picked up.
Angel
Hi. Just redone the donation and it looks like it's gone through this time! but i forgot to put a note on it so you would know it was me, i'm in Ascot. Please confirm if you've got it this time. Glad to hear the dogs are responding to treatment.

I've just made a test donation which went through ok but nothing else, so if you would not mind redoing it that would be great - and thank you!

(now still have to battle to get the old email address changed still!)
Angel
so are you now able to collect my donation? it's still showing as unclaimed or should i re do it?
westwalesdogrescue
sorted - well, patched. The button is now working but they cannot sort the problem with the old email, but say that is purely cosmetic..... thanks for letting me know there was a problem.

dogs are responding to treatment.
Angel
Paypal are a pain. Hope they sort it for you real soon.
westwalesdogrescue
Thanks - have been chasing them for months to amend that as the system locks when I try to change it! Will start phone calls... (was ok while the old rescue address was working but not it is just an alias directing to the rename it obviously is throwing up a problem)
Angel
Hi. I've checked my paypal account and it says money unclaimed by you. Have looked further and the link is set to pay sue@ceredigionanimalrescue.org.uk but it says (The recipient of this payment is Unregistered). You either need to add this email address to your paypal account (advisable as you may have other donations unclaimed that you don't know about) or if you don't have access to that email address, you need to change the link on your website and i can cancel this transaction and re do.
westwalesdogrescue
Angelmort - thank you. Nothing showing on paypal yet but it has been a bit silly lately.... if you have a reference please would you let me have it so I can chase.

Glynafon - I had seen that one but Susie is chipped and the one here is not, plus pups info does not quite tie in.
DogLostGlynafon
Is it possible it could be this dog and pups?

Angel
Hi. I've just made a donation to your rescue centre. Well done and keep up the good work!! x
westwalesdogrescue
That is very kind of you. We are happy to cover the bills but any support is always welcome (we are also helping with temp boarding for some of the dogs whose homes were flooded last weekend in the Aberystwyth area). Our website is westwalesdogrescue.org.uk
Angel
I understand; you tend to forget there are also bad people in the world (for a few minutes at least!) Sorry, it says she's chipped in the listing which is why i thought she was but can see in other bits it says she isn't. I'm happy to make a donation towards their vet bills, just tell me where to send it. x
westwalesdogrescue
See where you are coming from - unfortunately too many unscrupulous people would try to claim the dog thinking they could sell on the pups so we and DW agree best to let them describe the number of pups, ages, sex, any distinguishing marks etc (as you say a lot of breeding goes on in this area and we want to be sure nobody is trying to make a quick £££££). They were not in a very good state hence the vet fees we are incurring for them! Not chipped either.
Angel
Hi westwalesdogrescue. I don't know anyone missing a Westie but thought it may help to locate the owner if more info was given. The pups may be 2 weeks old or 2 months. Anyone who's lost a breedable bitch would then have an idea if this one could be theirs or not. It would also help to narrow things down if people knew if the pups were thought to be all Westie. There could have been a pregnant bitch stolen (in which case the owner would know what type of pups they should be) or escaped from one of the many, many puppy farms in Wales.

I have just noticed that she is chipped so hopefully no problem in finding the owner then. Last edited: 2012-06-11 16:35:21 by Angel

The dog warden is more than happy for the dogs to stay in our care until their time is served, our vet has prescribed treatment and meds for a couple of things which we are paying for.

Angelmort - can you give me some more info about what you are asking? Do you know of someone who is missing a westie + pups?
Angel
Hi. How old do you think the puppies are and do you think the pups are 100% Westies or crosses?
hamish&katy
so glad they are safe :)
westwalesdogrescue
Thank you - FB not letting me add to our own page or that one, but now managed to share your post....

DW not available until 8 tomorrow morning, dogs are safe in the meantime

have looked in missing Westies - pups are probably too old to be those plus this dog is not chipped.
