So glad its a happy ending. My two labs Tigger2 & Poohbear started to think their name had changed as I spent my walks calling out Lily. I'll take the posters down and my dogs will be sad that their extra long walks will be over. Nice to have met you Donna. Kind regards Gary
SUSIE

Mrs
Sneaking onto a computer on holiday to say Hurrah!!! So delighted this girlie is home and safe now. Well done everyone involved in her search and rescue.

Have a wonderful life Lilly. You will find out that humans can be lovely as well as cruel.
CopperM
Excellent news! Donna, you always go the extra mile, as was shown by Lily's reaction on realising it was you... and it must have been good to have help too!
Not just a ball and chain, but padlock too next time?!
Unknown
Fan tastic news. Welcome home Lily. Stay safe nowxxx
Scotsmist
We are so glad she is safe and would like to thank everyone who has helped us and kept our spirits up during this horrible time.
Lilly is now sitting at home with Donna waggy her tail as if nothing has happened. Doesnt worry her that others are thick with mud from laying in the undergrowth waiting for Lilly to approach close enough for 4 hours. When she did Donna held her nerve feeding Lilly from sitting until she drew her in close enough to grab her. Donna knew she would only have that one chance. She grab her and success then Lilly seemed to say oh it you sitting on the floor and commenced licking Donna all over and wagging her tail like mad so pleased to have found Donna.
She surely seems none the worst for her freedom not sure about everyone else though. Bless everyone for all the time they gave and trouble they took to help catch her.
Thank you Doglost without you Lilly could have been.
Thanks a million everyone we can all relax now. But will make sure Lilly wears a ball and chain next time she goes out for a walk.

They have her...after hours in the woods they have managed to coax her into the car...carer would like to thank the dog lost man with 2 labs that she saw everynight putting up posters and searching....
PaulaK
She will run if chased. She needs to come to you. Have you set up a regular feeding station? Thought about a trap? Even dogs not so frightened of people are difficult to catch in this situation so ine that is scared is virtually impossible, trust me ive been there and seen it before. Patience is the key
Scotsmist
Just a thought although I know people wouldnt really but please dont try and chase to catch only if she is near enough to you to grab which will be an accident on her part if she is. We dont want to chase and her move from this area as we do know where she is and sort of what she is doing which will make it easier in the end. Famous last word cheeky little monkey that she is.
Thank you for all your help.
Scotsmist
Update this morning. There are a lot of sighting of Lilly day and night but she will not be caught even when you think you are close enough to do so she looks you in the eye and is off like the wind if a move is made. But she is coming back and being around Quetta Park entrance roundabout a lot.
She is also near the cottages and will sit there until she see someone and she is again off back into the woods.
Please if there is any chance at all that you can get close and are fast enough to grab her please do. She is not aggressive in anyway just fightened of humans. She does prefer Women to men. Maybe she will just drop that guard long enough for someone to grab her. We have and are tried all sorts of food sitting waiting and walking miles but she is not interested enough and we think she is feeding herself by catching things there from the bones we have seen where she was sleeping.
PLEASE CALL DONNA ON HER MOBILE 07766021465 WHO HAS BEEN OUT 8-9 HOURS A DAY TRYING TO GET HER EVEN AT 2AM LAST NIGHT WAITING TO SEE IF SHE WOULD COME TO THEM AS TWICE SHE WAS SEEN BY THE COTTAGES BUT NO SHE WAS BACK IN THE WOODS AND PROBABLY WATCHING WHAT WAS GOING ON.
Scotsmist
Yes Lilly is a Prodog girl but has only been here a few days.Lilly was a stray and came via a Dog Warden. Sadly a dog startled her and she jerked hard and snapped her lead and was off like the wind with harness and lead part still attached. She has been used for breeding so is very nervous of people and will be hard to catch as she will not want to be near people. That says something about dogs just used for breeding doesnt it!!
There has been more sightings today so everything crossed she will get brave and let people help her tomorrow.

I was also up there this morning with my neighbour will also pop back later to look again if she hasn't been found already
Amanja
Were up there this morning, but didn't see her. If we get back from our grandson's 2nd birthday party at a reasonable time we'll head up there again, if not we'll go up tmrw morning, if she hasn't be found by then.
Fingers crossed. Come on Lilly, be a brave girl! Show yourself.

Trying to catch or grab her will probably make her run but if she's happy to approach other dogs use them to your advantage. Let her interract/play with the dogs then walk away and call them as she might follow too. Use food thrown on the floor as you walk away to lure her to follow and build up her confidence to come closer. Dogs are more likely to approach if you're sat on or close to the ground. Is she used to cars? If a dog she was playing with jumped into a car might she do the same?

Lilly has also been posted on the RHU Forum where there are lots of members who can look out for her.

I know every lost dog needs to be found but please help find Lilly. She's had so little care in her life and through Pro Dogs she'll get the home of her dreams.....if only we can find her.

Great news !! Sorry I can't get up there this morning, will try later this afternoon.......come on into the blue Lily !!!
Mrs
Lilly has been seen! Her fosterer took her dogs to where she escaped last night and Lilly came up to the dogs but bolted when the human tried to catch her. If anyone can help search then please go there this morning with dog(s) and hot dogs or tuna. Be patient, Lilly is very scared of people it seems. She is going to be collar-shy but if you get the chance to get a good hold of her harness then take it.

The area is Caeser's Camp Training Ground, Bourley Road, Aldershot. Nearest postcode is GU11 1QA If you put Donna's phone number 07766021465 in your mobile you can let them know if you spot her.

Can't be there except in spirit, willing Lilly home as we are in S Devon.

I walk there everyday, will be there later this evening. Was it Ceasar's camp side, where the lakes are, or the other side, high speed test track and the racecourse?
Mrs
Is this the Lilly (39925) who was found as a stray and then sent to Pro Dogs Direct for re-homing? Poor Girl. Hope she is found very quickly as it's so wet and cold today and she must be very scared. We're in Devon but will spread the word.
twiglet84
Hi guys, can we have any more information on this? Which bit of the woods as I know how big it is! Which direction etc. I can't do much today but can go tomorrow with my rescue, he might encourage her out.
