dewilliams42
i do so hope he will be ok.sounds as though he could be injured or just scared of people. pity someone did'nt help when he was seen on the pavement.makes you wonder what sort of life heas had to be so scared, wish i could help but im in swansea so not much use. he must be so hungry by now. maybe he could be tempted with food to gain his trust if he stays in one place long enough. fingers crossed you will spot him again, poor little lad,
Sulby
Nope my mum spotted this boy in the next village/town 1mile down road on friday afternoon but she was in the van driving she said as only can be discribed as crawling down pavement but wasnt sure if he was injured or soo scared coz of all the people..poor lad when i went he was gone :( i got told of a possible sighting in a dog walking field further down the road from where he was sighted in the aft.. But this was 11pm and the man said he saw a dog limping but couldnt say if it was him and he disapeared when the dog saw the man.. Not had one single sighting since :( x
dewilliams42

What a sad story, I really do hope that between you, you and the DW can catch this poor dog, he's got a lovely face.He must be feeling so scared and confused about what's happened to him.
rottie

Sulby
Iv contacted dog warden she said shes knows about the dog was trying to catch him fri with no luck shes going out again today x
dewilliams42
he could well have been picked up/stolen by someone and then dumped.this could account for his fear of people. hope you are able to catch him safely. he might be chipped with a bit of luck.x
Sulby
Thanks iv just been talking to someone on another site she said may not be true either but untill i find the true im still thinking like what he said x
dewilliams42
poor little dog, what a cruel thing to do. no wonder the poor dog was frightened. makes you wonder what sort of life he had. hope you can catch him and he gets a lovely new home where he will be loved. good luck.x

Hi Sulby, Tucker's(ID 30394)Mum here.. Just had to reconfirm as sounds just like Tucker's behavior and we did have a reported sighting from NW (Blackpool) area later last year from lady who found a Tucker look alike(right down to colour of collar) after a Traveller gathering which she handed into a rescue and was apparently rehomed before the legal 7 days, we could never trace the dog and hit a brick wall with the rescue in question,, who said the info was confidential!! We had previously had ransom calls from you know who!! Tucker actually went missing after a similar gathering nr home,so quite possible. At home Tucker lived on a farm nr woods so would make for that kind of terrain for food/rabbits... description states half tail? Tucker's was docked short but the hair on the end made it look longer?? he has peachy colour patches and shaggy coat, Is the dog male? gladly send more pics.
Do you think it could be Tucker?? we are desperate for news.
During our search we have used a trap which helped us catch a couple of other dogs reported to us who were running scared...So grateful you are helping this poor dog he needs someone to care...will give you a call X
Gaynor
Sulby, although it's a long way from you (120 miles) this couldn't be Odie Lost Dog 39858 could it? There's a clear photo of him for you to check. Same colourings? and also half tail.
Gaynor
Poor thing, he sounds as though he's really distressed and badly needs someone to care for him. Can't bear to think of him out there crying and frightened, is he safe from traffic etc where he's wandering? I wish I lived closer to help you. Good Luck tomorrow, I hope you have some luck in catching him. Reading all the advice on the different pages on this site, the best thing for you to do is to sit or lie down really low and put the smelly food a little way away from you so that he won't be too scared to come and take it, and talk to him in a really soft and gentle voice. But don't try to reach out and catch him or it might scare him off again. Apologies if you already know all these tips, just trying to help. Hope to read some good news about him soon. Perhaps if he proves difficult to catch you might be able to borrow a trap from somewhere to bait and tempt him? Or do you have an enclosed gardent that you could gradually lead him back into following a trail of smelly food? Good Luck.Last edited: 2012-06-05 00:03:28 by Gaynor
