I know this is miles from you, but k9 search found alerts facebook page has a description of a terrier found in West Bromwich that sounds a bit like Brisket:

805 FOUND in West Bromwich on 07.06.12
Terrier type, gender unknown at present, tan/white, no ID
Very nervous, found quivering under bushes.

The finder then goes on on the comments to describe her further in response to a question asked by RAGS owner:
"its too small to be rags caroline- almost like a mini rags tho and aprox 12 months, we managed to scan her quickly but couldnt find a chip, shes a was a little calmer when we got to kennels and i managed to get her off the van on a lead x"

The description sounded to me a little like Brisket - long shot I know...but worth a phone call?

Spoke to owner, she has contacted DW, vets and local radio, there has also been an ad in the paper. She has also contacted local schools and asked them to put an article in the school news letter. There are traveller sites close by and I have given the names of sites to look on on the internet. The local pound has also been contacted.
