Hi Dragonfly, I have put this out on a few facebook pages for this Saturday

I'm hoping to get a search/dog walk together this Saturday 14/07/12 on the Camel Trail starting from Great Shell Woods (between Blisland and Helland,Bodmin) around 2.30pm if anyone would like to join in. My Oscar and another Oska missing from this area plus Gimblet the greyhound. Meeting at Great Shell Woods car park at 2.20pm

If you want to speak to me about this you can get hold of me on 07777 674582 Michelle

I was told there was a spate of working dogs going missing from this area a few years ago. They take them when they are coming out of their puppy stage growing into a young adult because they are better to train apparently. I'm going to try to get a search (walk) together for next weekend if you would like to come an join in. Bring lots of posters/fliers with you too. I will keep you updated if I manage to get it together.

Thanks to you both for your kindness, its so hard to not feel despondant isn't it?every day hoping for news, someone taking him into the vets, microchip being scanned. We all miss him so much, its not the same without him, but guess that you are going through exactly the same. We wish you all the luck in the world.Intrestingly the last three dogs to go missing from this area, lurcher, spaniel and cairn, working dogs(not that our Oska is).

Have posted Oska's details to my Oscar's facebook page. I'm keeping a look out for your Oska whilst out searching for my Oscar aound Blisland, Tressarett, Shell wood etc. I hope you hear of something soon, it sometimes takes a little while for the word to get round and people to keep a look out so don't loose hope. If you need any help please don't be afraid to call me 07751 208298. I have a live trap on hand if you get a sighting of Oska.

Sorry its not Oska. He's been added to a facebook group 'please look out for these missing dogs in Cornwall'. Is he on Pirate FM webpage? have you put it on Network Cornwall? Sorry for the hoax callers this must have been very distressing. Let's hope you have good news soon. Please let me know what you have done so far.
Dragonfly
Thank you dog Lost for all your help, please keep Oska with us, mentioning him wherever you can to keep our plight highlighted.

Have the owners seen the last comment and checked out the website. Need to follow dogs for rehoming and it's the 6th picture down. Please let us know when they have.

Just had a look on www.stfrancisfourcanines.co.uk which is located down Newquay and there is a similar looking dog on there called Toby, same sort of markings but stated as being a Patterdale....just thought it was worth a look. xLast edited: 2012-06-12 15:29:26 by nessa

Owners, family and friends have all been working so hard to find Oska, he has been mentioned on local radio and will be in the news paper soon so I am bumping him up to the top. He is not a dog that would go off so it is thought that somebody has picked him up.

Sorry to see that OSKA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (39980)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
