  • Other Info Lost the morning of 22/04/2012. Spooked by another dog and just blindly ran towards a wooded area to the left of the hills. We searched and went back again and are so dreadfully worried. Very nervous little thing so not sure if she would come to a stranger. She is of very slight build, in fact you can barely see the JR in her, looks more like a shrunk black and white collie/lurcher. Wearing a purple collar with diamante bone. Please call the number below if you find her. Thank you.

Thanks for the update Kfar. Glad she's ok and hope her limp is better once she's had a good rest.

Ooooohhh I'm so happy to see Flora's back home!
Well done Debs and Kfar.

Flora now home and safe. Searched and searched and then finally spied her near the road in the car park near where she was lost. Once she realised it was me she came running oh so fast! It was like a teary film scene! She is tired, hungry, and limping a little now but very pleased to be home. Our cats are slightly less pleased to see her though! Thanks to all the lovely people who helped look for her.

Delighted Flora is safe! It was a pleasure to help out, and my friends were over the moon and quite emotional when she was reunited on the hills with her owner. Wish I could have been there, I was so close to her this morning but she didn't show herself.xx

This little cutie is home. Thanks Debs2460 for all your help XX

Posters now up in both Old Hills car parks and where she went missing, also in pubs and shop in Callow End and Deblins Green animal rescue centre. Flora sighted on roadside this morning by passer-by who happened to be at rescue centre and last night by lady in pub but neither were able to safely stop and catch her. Walked Old Hills and woods and along roadside late morning today, no sign but maybe she is sheltering from the rain. Spoke to various dog walkers on the way, hoping someone spots and catches her soon. Will be back searching later today. Thanks Debs2460 for your help.

Madresfield Estate are keeping an eye out for her. I have also phoned John Daniels who lives at Balls Hill Cottage behind the woods who the owner spoke to yesterday. He assumed they'd found the dog, but he now knows they didn't and is going to keep an eye out for her. I have emailed him the link to this page. I walked through the woods earlier and through the Old Hills and told everyone I came across about the missing dog! No posters up yet..Good luck, Debbie.

Err, who has replaced Flora's photo with a black one!! I merged both her pics last night but won't be able to put it back on her page until later.

PLEASE NOTE: anyone helping with posters for Flora, you can't download them from this page until the poster photo is back on.Last edited: 2012-04-23 08:21:14 by B30

Hi, just seen your alert. I live about 20 miles away - can you tell me where Callow End/the Old Hills actually is?
Postering really is necessary - but you have to be quick while he's in people's minds. Poster everywhere - make him famous. Jog people's memories. Bus stops, fast food places, sign posts, all around where you walked/lost him and wider. Local pubs - go in and ask them to display his poster on their door and notice board, - have you offered a reward? worth doing. Milkmen, postmen, local houses, etc. etc. etc. Also, phone the dog warden as soon as you can. There are a number of dog-rescues in and around Worcester, GO to them, don't just call - especially as he's a mixture - some people will say no they haven't got a JRT - or might think he's another breed mix, so DO go yourselves, and keep going. If he's in a rescue - after 7 days he's no longer yours. Hopefully he's found and scanned. Are your details/address up to date on his Microchipping? Have u phoned the chip company and told them he's missing? Remember that if the local dog rescues are full - he may be taken as far as Evesham, so look up a 15 miles min radius of where u lost him and keep phoning and visiting the rescues. Phone the Dog Warden every day. Keep going back to where you lost him - they often hang around or keep going back to the place they last saw you....Good luck

Spoke to owner, DW has been notified and the Police. I have suggested postering tomorrow and also putting it over the radio. She got chased by a Great Dane and ran off. She may be hiding closeby to where she went missing. Owner could try putting some bedding down and some of her food. She is a distance from home (went there in the car) owner took another dog to try and sniff her out but he was not interested. Last edited: 2012-04-22 20:27:30
