Maybe the owner can get Poppy microchipped so if she gets out again it should be a quick process of getting her back home when she is handed in hopefully

aw glad to hear it turned out to be a useful finder (ksmith ignore our suspiciousness, so many are picked up and never seen again it's hard not to be)
hopefully she's already home and fast asleep!

Well done Ksmith. Excellent and thank you for posting. I still have not received any response from owners. I am sure she is fine, but I need confirmation from them and then I can move Poppy into the Reunited Section.

Just to let everyone know that Polly came running full speed out into the road at Crews Hill and very nearly got hit by several cars. I inquired at all the garden nurseries in the hope that she had just got away from a family, but without luck so I took her to the only place that was open on Good Friday, the RSPCA, in the hope that she was microchipped. Unfortunately she wasn't - but I'm glad to know that Polly is back with her owner.

I have heard that she has been reunited. The manager @ Jolleyes has been contacted by RSPCA to confirm this. Please confirm with owner.

any news on this girl?
was hoping she'd of turned up with the dog warden today, if she hasn't been handed in today as Kimmybear said it's now a case of theft and more serious action needs to be taken

Have emailed owner and texted. If not handed in tomorrow, Tuesday, owner needs to report to police, but as Em said, quite possible dog wardens are not working till Tuesday, so person cannot hand in. Nevertheless we need posters up now just in case and also to provide the "finder" with a number to call rather than waiting for wardens etc. Need to cover all our bases.

There is a chance that the woman could just be waiting until after the bank holidays to notify someone so don't worry too much yet
i'd poster the area and around the pet shop in case she returns (you'd also imagine that the woman goes to that pet store regularly so someone might recognise poppy)
