Mia now has her own Facebook page with more pictures and information. I am bumping her due to this in the hope that it helps spread the word.

Was just thinking it would be worth trying to get a picture of Mia circulated around vets not just in your area (maybe online you could find some forums etc), if she's been bought by someone it's likely they'd take her to a vets to sign up and get jabs etc and hopefully she'll be recognised

Mia's owner is working hard behind the scenes to trace her, still need to get Mia's photo everywhere in the hope that she will be recognised. We have a few leads to follow up so please keep shareing.

do get the police involved as they can get the details of the advertiser from the website...they do keep the details.

looking through the ads on those sites makes you wonder how many are actually stolen...I'd say at least half look suspect to meLast edited: 2012-03-28 15:22:16 by emmalouise

I'm sure the admin on here will know a lot more than me, but I'd suggest trying to make her as famous as possible on the internet, the likelihood seems that she's been sold on to someone unaware she was stolen. Make a plea to anyone who's bought a newfoundland pup that looks like Mia to contact you and if you can afford to make clear you'll compensate them, she could be anywhere in the country if sold on so using this website, gumtree, twitter, facebook is most likely to get you results

I have contacted people on Preloved who were looking for a newfie some have come back to me and one lady has confirmed that she saw Mia advertised with the same picture we have got on here and didn't reply to the ad as she thought something didn't look right she believed it was advertised for £700 this was a good 3 weeks ago but lady can't remember where she saw it. I've tried to put a missing note on preloved but they won't post it I have put one on epupz. all i need is finding the ad this is a very important proof I need the lady reported Mia missing 4 weeks ago with the police surprise surprise this is to cover herself up so that she hasn't got the pup anymore I wasn't told this at all!!! all vets in chard have been phoned and didn't know anything about it and also phoned the dogwarden also no note with them. the same picture has been used for the ad and this is her picture I got of facebook all pictures of the dogs have been removed from her facebook. This newfoundland puppy is a showdog and suppose to enter her for the showring they are normally sold for £1500 she is a very well bred puppy!! I have pictures of her 2 sisters on my facebook. any advise form anyone what my next step should be

Thank you Kate, you are right, Mia could be anywhere by now so we need to spread the word far and wide. Please can anyone else reading this please also share.

How awfull! Please check through all the usual for sale sites, I have had a look at some alreadyand have seen adverts for Newfoundland puppies wanted so I wonder if she was stolen to order. Need to get as much publicity as possible as a buyer could be thinking the sale was genuine. I will contact the owner with more advice.

Tx Guys...owner left the pup and an older dog with a pet sitter...police recovered the older dog...but its believed the puppy has been sold onto unsuspecting people...
