I have spoken to Roxy's owner, he is still waiting for the finder to get back to him. He is contacting dog wardens and Bristol Cats & Dogs Home as by law the finder should heve reported to the dog warden. It does not help that this is such a long bank holiday.
JP
I would love this dog to be Roxy. There was a Yorkie lost in the same area two weeks ago but I believe that was a boy. Last edited: 2012-06-03 11:20:39 by JP

Bumped due to a post on Animal search uk that a similar dog was found wandering in the street only a mile from Roxy's home on 31st May. Owners are following this up but having to wait for someone to get back to them. Fingers crossed.

Nothing so far. I am sure owner would contact me if there was. I will renew some posters later emphasising reward . I am at a loss as to what else can be done. :-(
Next week I look after a small Yorkie for the week and she is very similar in looks, I wonder if anyone will think it is Roxy and phone up. I wouldn't want the owner of Roxy to have false hope.Last edited: 2012-03-24 09:18:36 by JP

Sorry to hear this sad news, I have shared on my Facebook and will poster BS14 tomorrow, my thoughts are with you at this sad time and we're praying for this little girls safe and speedy return.XX
JP
Only fair to say that as I was putting a poster up outside old post office opposite school on Plummers a little girl told me last Friday she had seen a dog like Roxy looking lost in St George Park. I have no idea if true or not, seemed a bit of a co-incidence. School will put on their notice board, also library, vet and the two local shops. Been all around the park.
JP
Thanks Jayne. This is not the Yorkie in the new build. I am doing St George park and outside the local school today. this little girl is friendly and would probably go to anyone. We need to make her too hot to handle.

Have shared on facebook... I wonder if the owner could contact the Observer or Evening Post to see if they will put an add in the papers.

I spoke to the owner and this little girl is still missing so I went out postering by the graveyard, along the river, up the lanes of St George. I noticed Karen of the doggyday care on Crews Hole had a pic of Rufus and one of Bob but not one of Roxy. I can't see that she would have left her out so wonder if she received the e mail.
JP
I never received the email. I have all the others for this district so dunno what happened there. I wonder if this is the little Yorkie that lives on Speedwell Road in the new build? I know there is one there and the garden is unsecured. The little thing escaped about three weeks ago and was running amongst the traffic, the local postman tried to catch her as did a passer by but she was too quick and then she ran into the new build and straight in through the open front door.

Do hope this little girl is found soon. Fingers and paws xd.

Sorry to see that ROXY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37280)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
