I cannot believe this - another railway tragedy. I hate this. Owners, I am so very sad for you. I understand your pain as I lost my dog in the same way and want you to know that Charlie would not have suffered. God takes his special dogs back to heaven quicker than we like but it is only because they have already earnt their wings and Chalie has obviously done that. Charlie will wait for you until you have earnt yours and then you will be reunited once more - this time you will never, ever part again. God bless you sweet Charlie and your loving owners. My prayers are with you. x

Hope the sighting is Charlie and he is home soon, but I have just had an email alert from preloved website and there is a cocker spaniel just been put on for sale, it does look a little like charlie, I'm not sure, but might be worth his owner having a look to rule out. It's for sale in the north east, gateshead. This may be a genuine advert but you never know.Last edited: 2012-02-17 12:44:19 by BBKM

Bumped due to sighting...Possible sighting of Charlie near the bypass where he went at 8.30 yesterday morning.A man in a car had his hazards on to alert other drivers and was trying to get the dog for safe keeping

Have spoken to the owner. Charlie is a much loved family pet who went missing on a walk with owner's mum.
He was being walked on the old South Kirkby pit site with other dogs and ran up over the top. It is unlike him not to come back.
Possible sighting of him just after he went missing at 11am near the railway line close to Minsthorpe Lane, but nothing since.
Owner and family have been out searching and telephoned relevant authorities. They are going to start postering later today.
Owner is worried in case he has got stuck in a hole, eg a fox hole etc.
Charlie is Microchipped but wasn't wearing a collar when he went missing
Fingers crossed this boy is found safe soon
Owner has started a facebook page for him
