Hi, I have spoke to some workers from Skene and we are very friendly with the manager ect but no-one has seen him at all. I asked about cctv but it appears theres none. I will send an email to their headquarters this afternoon as well as local papers. The tackroom is secure but I will certainly have another look there and in the surronding buildings, oh dear! I hope your hens are okay. x

email in admin from a helper...Does the quarry have CCTV? Might be worth asking for a look at it. Also, if you think he's been
stolen then let Skene know - they have a lot of equipment on site & may have an idea if someone's been wandering around. Also -I know you'll have done this but double check the tack room again as older buildings can have wee hidey holes & even loose floorboards that might lead to another room. And having watched my JRT squeeze through a 2 inch gap today to get into the hen run I know anything is possible with these dogs

I have recieved an email this morning from a woman who seen the police stop to pick up a Jack Russell when she was at the traffic lights at Whinnyknowe (either thursday/friday). I have been on the phone to them this morning and all the woman could say was that if they lifted the dog they would have held it for 24hrs and then sent it to 2 possible kennels. Also been on the phone to these kennels, neither seem to have him. Heading down to the police station to see if we can speak to the person who was dealing with it to see if they could confirm its Bailey or not and also if they caught the dog where he/she is now. xx

Thank you very much, I have been in pets at home in Kirkcaldy today with some posters, we are staring to think he has been stolen rather than accidently let out as no one appears to have seen him at all so he may well be out in that area, thanks again xx

I had a call today about a dog running in the Auchmuir Bridge area just outside Leslie, I went out there to have a look but couldn't see anythinkg so stopped in at a few farms. One lovely farmer I spoke to is certain the dog is a collie, he has tried to catch it but he cant get near. I'm not sure of the post code for this are but I will email doglost xx

We regularly walk at Ravenscraig Park in Kirkcaldy, a bit further away but we'll keep an eye out for Bailey. Have also printed poster for the noticeboard at the entrance to the park. Stay safe Bailey xxLast edited: 2012-02-05 15:14:22 by hendrixnewf

I haven't put any posters in Whinnyknowe yet but I have been around and asked people with dogs if they had seen him and a few took my number

email from a helper to HQ...
Have you also considered postering in Whinnyknowe? It's less than a mile from the farm and a direct route across fields for a JRT.

Samantha
Audrey thank you for the ideas, I never thought of the reservoir or the substation, think I'll head there now actually. Erniesmum1 thank you very much, I've got some posters about in shops and vets in the area and heading out walking this afternoon on the doggy routes, brilliant idea handing out a number x

So sorry to hear about Bailey, it really is an awful time. We lost one of our Springers at new year, he was missing for 2 days and was eventually found in Lesliie. We'll go out walking with our 3 Springers in the area over the weekend and will watch out for him, keeping our fingers crossed for you. Not sure if it'll help but we wrote out lots of slips of paper with our contact details and gave them to just about everyone we spoke to and asked them to contact us if they spotted him. You should also print out and put up some posters. Hope this helps

Email from a helper...
Hi there,
I used to live @ Balsillie so I know the area really well - the Quarry is open on a Saturday morning so go & speak to them - there are a few surrounding farms - go & speak to them all as well as the stables. I would also recommend posters in the Leslie pubs in case he has wandered up there (if you deal with Michael Kelly then let him know that Audrey from the farmhouse- Clootie's owner - suggested this - he liked us & as he's a local he might hear something).
There's also the reservoir about a mile or so away with an elec sub-station - these guys were really helpful to us before.
I hope this helps

my friend very kindly set up a facebook page with many more photos of my lovely boy

Sorry that was my mistake, I meant to go back when I got the spelling. Its Balsillie farm next to lomand quarry. Thank you for your messeges x

We know this area quite well & are wondering if the farm name is a misprint. Should it perhaps read "Ballo Farm" which is on the Leslie to Falkland road?
Will do what we can in that area.
Good Luck.
