Such devastating news. My heart goes out to DJ's owners. I suspect DJ would have been knocked unconcious so would not have suffered. He is safe now; nothing can ever harm him again. God bless you sweet boy, now safe in God's arms until you are reunited with your family once more. Another baby earnt his wings. x

I spoke to the owner and she had just been told by the council it was DJ.

So sorry to see this sad news about DJ> If this is the case. RIP sweetheart and play at the bridge with your pals . Until you meet again. And you will. Night, night, sleep tight, now in the arms of Jesus. Remember DJ is not far away amd will always be near you. (It is a sad fact of life that busy roads and fast running dogs dont mix. Please everyone check that your garden is secure to save even more heartache on this site. There are fvar too many dogs going to Rainbow Bride) RIP DJ. Hi I really hope its not the same dog, but I cross posted this to my facebook and friend just called me to say that she lives on Poplar Road in strood and sunday night they heard a screech and rushed out. A dog that has siilar description/black staff type dog had been knocked down and killed. They covered the dog over with a blanket and their other neighbour said was gonna door knock to try find owners. dog had gone by monday morning so they assume council collected. Hope this not DJ but said either way. I will try find out more x
