- God bless you Ann. I think Slabcagges idea of you asking to walk him with your daughter, would be lovely for you all, and for the doggie. What's his name?
- 2012-01-15 20:12 Ann
- Oh, they know how we feel about about it all, it was made quite clear to them , and yes, we will be checking on him to make sure he is being looked after!

- not caught up but just saw this story on facebook.... if they dont care about the dog i would have asked if they wanted him back... if you were prepared to keep him.. knowing me i would prob knock and see how he is and if not interested still offer him a home :)))

- Ann,
What a shame that they didn't try to find him,
is it possible for you to ask them if they would allow you to walk him for them as you and your young daughter had be come so fond of him,
this way you can keep a check on him.
just a thought. - 2012-01-15 16:40 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Oh Ann, I do feel for you but you have done the right thing although it seems so hard.....
Thank you for caring for him until the owners were found xxx - 2012-01-15 15:58 Goldenfrodo
- I feel so sad for you and your daughter. Its always seems wrong when somebody loses a lovely dog like this one and doesnt do anything to try to find him.
Well done for looking after him xx
I'll move him into the Blue now. - 2012-01-15 13:24 Ann
- I got a phone call Saturday afternoon from the owners of this beutiful dog who lives just 1/2 mile away from us, and I am sorry to say, they admitted doing nothing i.e ringing authorities, vets, dogwardens stc to try and find him!! It took someone else to see my poster in the local shop to inform them I had him! Was so sad to take him back to someone who doesnt really care that he had been lost for a week, but we had too! Thankyou to everyone on here for your support.

- As I understand it, as long as you've notified all the authorities, which it looks as though you have done, then after 28days, if his owner doesnt come forward then he's yours.
Good luck xx - 2012-01-13 21:59 Ann
- My young daughter has been taking him for a walk across fields everyday before school and he is so good, I dont know how long we have to wait incase his owners do decide he is missing before we can tell her she can keep him, does anyone know?

- we found him wandering across a main road, apparently he had been wandering about there for at least 3 hours before we rescued him, we have done everything we can to find his owners, it is up to them now, cant do any more, every authority has his description and my phone number in case they report him missing!
- 2012-01-10 15:38 Mal
- Thats so kind of you Ann, did you find him wandering or maybe he was dumped? Its great that he is happy with your dogs! Mal
- 2012-01-10 14:58 Ann
- I think he is too old to be rehomed through a rescue centre so we would be happy to keep him if it comes to that, he is here with us now and happy!
- 2012-01-10 11:21 Mal
- He looks such a charcacter and as you say is very friendly, if he isnt claimed are you thinking about a rescue place or have you room to keep the boy? mal

- Hi Ann. Have you checked with local vets to see if anyone recognises him? I wonder if he belongs to an old person who can't get out to notify people? So glad he has someone as kind and caring as you lokking after him in the meantime x
- 2012-01-09 08:51 Ann
- I have checked with dog wardens and police again and still nobody is reporting him missing!
- 2012-01-09 08:46 Ann
- He is fairly plump and loves a cuddle so has obviously been cared for at some time, he also likes other dogs as he is getting on well with ours!
