LIZ - It might be worth you contacting your local radio station and asking them to put out a message for you. We did it with our dog on LincsFM and they were very helpful. Also contact vets in your area, especially the ones that offer an emergency service for lost and found dogs. Hope this helps. Please note: SherwoodOwl and myself live together and are both helping with your search. xx

Hi Liz,
JennyB printed up some posters & asked me to pop round to Ollerton.
Asda, Tesco, The Co-operative, Fat Boys & The Plough pub have all now got a poster and are keeping their ears and eyes open for you. I have also dropped a poster through the letter box at the police station.
I did try the post office but they had just closed and unfortunately I don't know where the vets are in Ollerton so it may be worth you calling round on Monday if you have time.
If you have not done so already it may be worth giving the police non-emergency phone line a call (dial 101), pass on your details and ask them to give you a call should they get any reports.
I hope she back home with you soon.

Thankis for you help JennyB.

LIZ, not sure what you mean by 'notices' but whatever you put up really needs to contain her photo. People see so many dogs around sometimes, they don't remember a description especially if they're not doggie folk, but people do remember a picture.
LIZ
notices have been put up not actual posters id b grateful if you could please and yes shes been reported as lost to newark and sherwood council. thank you for all your help x
JennyB
have retweeted to my followers - hope Bella is found safe and sound soon xx
JennyB
Has anyone put posters up around Ollerton yet? If not, we can do it tonight, but wanted to be sure first that it hadn't already been done? Also, have you contacted vets in the area and reported Bella to the dog warden? Please confirm asap - thanks xx

Just had a call from my Ollerton based friend, he mentioned seeing a fairly large dark & white coloured dog 2 days ago running stray near the mobile home park on the A616 close to the roundabout with the police station. The dog seemed quite shy and jumped over a wall to avoid coming too near him and his dogs. He will let us know if he gets another sighting.

Thanks for confirming LIZ - those are much better pictures - you may need to refresh page to see the new images

I have just left a message for a friend who lives in the area and spends quite a bit of time walking his dogs there, I am sure he will let us know if he gets a sighting of her
LIZ
bella has white toes on both front paws , ive tried changing her picture. I spotted the picture of the dog you mean last night, I had to look twice , it does look a lot like bell, but sadly not her if she hasnt the white bits on the paws =(
DogLostRiverlady
Have put Bella on twitter + will circulate.
DogLostAngus
Sue, just been looking at Bella's picture - do you think she has a white toe on her front left paw ?

If she does NOT then please ask owners to looK at this little one - there was no id number on her kennel when I visited Wednesday but bib and ears are very similar from what I can see

LIZ, I have merged Bella's photos so that both pictures are in her poster. I strongly advise you to change her breed description on here to Staffordshire Cross because I worry that with no chip she might slip through the system unnoticed if she's down as a Lurcher cross

Sorry to see that BELLA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (36010)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
