  • Other Info £500 REWARD for safe recovery. Gertie has been known to go down holes after rabbits and badgers. She has never been gone for nearly this long before, so something is definitely wrong, she is either stuck somewhere, lost, or is with someone. Hello, I have been trying to update Gertie's details unsuccessfully -- she is found!
Last night in the pitch black she just stumbled into the yard, thin as a rake, mud up to the eyeballs, bloody paws, dehydrated and starving... clearly been down a hole for seven days and finally got thin enough to wriggle out. Finally we can celebrate New Year and the birth of our son -- we had heard that terriers could survive for weeks down holes, but didn't dare believe it. Now we do! We don't know which hole she was in, and in this weather, are not planning to look - but she is not going anywhere without being on a lead for a bit! Although she is so subdued, I would be surprised if she went again... we will see. Thanks for all the help, we really appreciated the support, even if it didn't lead to her recovery.
