I've checked out 41332 and unfortunately it is not Scampi.
DogLost VolunteerAnnieSparky
So sorry Scampi is still missing.....I'll keep checking...you never know...and shes chipped.
I know what you mean about the other dog looking sad...bless her. Fingers crossed for Scampi x
Emma
Thanks AnnieSparky - I have checked 41140 out and it's not Scampi - Scampi only has one large liver patch on her back and one on the base of her tail, whereas 41140 has 2 smaller patches and a 3rd on her tail. I hope 41140 finds her owners, or a lovely new home soon as she looks really sad in the photos...

Any chance this could be Scampi in found section....I know out of area and says not chipped but.....

Hi Emma. I'll put Scampi an advert in as soon as possible. It will take 2-3 weeks before it's published and I'll put a message on her page when the magazine comes out.
Emma
Hi. I've just been sent the following e-mail

"If your dog(s) is/are missing Dog Lost may be able to provide a small free advert in The Countryman's Weekly magazine with your dog's details and photograph. Please ask the Dog Lost co-ordinator who has already made contact with you to request an advert for your dog(s).PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. www.doglost.co.uk"

I can't remember the name of the person who initially phoned me when I placed this ad (it may have been Dee?), but I would definately be intersted in an advert for Scampi in Countrymans Weekly if it can be arranged. Thanks. Emma.
Emma
Thanks again Skippy. Animal wardens couldn't give me any further details about the below dog, except that it's owner had already been found. So sadly not Scampi, but it does install some faith that some dogs are finding their way home, so maybe one day it'll be her.

Hi Emma - sorry to hear the last one wasn't Scampi - there has been another listing on the AW site today - Liver and white ESS - sex unknown. Do hope it's Scampi for you

I've just heard from the rescueremedies forum that this spaniel has been reunited with her owner, which is fantastic news for that dog and its owner, but I'm still looking for Scampi...
Emma
hi TerenceT. Do you have any further information on the found Springer? I have tried to register on the forum, but have to wait for the account to be activated. Scampi was stolen at the begining of November, so if the puppy is definately 16wks, it can't be Scampi, as she was not in season or pregnant when she went missing. It may be worth investigating 'Milly' who went missing just before Scampi, and I believe she was pregnant.Last edited: 2012-02-23 21:06:23 by Emma

This report has appeared on our forum of a springer bitch found Ashford area with her microchip cut out http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about6785.html&highlight=
Emma
Thank you Jo, for contacting me about Sally - Sadly this is not Scampi, although she does look very simelar, but Sally has less white on her face than Scampi, and Diana has confirmed that she is not microchipped. Apparantly Sally will soon have a new home, so at least she will be a happy spaniel again - and my hunt for Scampi goes on...
Dog WardenBeezle
Diana Brimblecombe only takes in dogs from Ireland so Sally is unlikely to be Scampi.
Jo
Not 100% sure but please check out SALLY on Diana Brimblecombe Rescue in Wokingham, Berkshire. They have website dbarc.org.uk. Hope you find her soon.

Thankyou to whoever left me a voicemail about the Swanscombe Vets - I called them to follow this up, but it turns out that it is a dog, not a bitch, but they have taken Scampi's details in case she should turn up there in future.

Sorry to see that SCAMPI is missing.
If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held are up to date.
If you have not already done so contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, contact the Police.
Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green 'Find Any UK Vet' graphic near the top right hand side of the page under the 'latest missing dogs' photo.
A photograph of your dog is essential - if you have not already uploaded a picture, please do so by clicking on 'Update Details' above, or you can email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog, quoting the dog's DogLost ID number. You can also add comments and update your dog's status by clicking on the title bar at the top of the comments list. You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments.
You can obtain a 'MISSING' poster by clicking on 'View Poster' above. POSTERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Start postering now!
If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, they can be re-homed legally after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres to look for your dog and give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
Please keep us updated by keeping your dogs page up to date and check for posts from helpers that may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings.
If your dog has been stolen please inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN) for the theft.
DogLost is free – anyone asking for money to return your dog is not working for us, and may offer fake photos as 'proof'. If you think we may have called you but aren't sure, please contact us on the phone number or email address at the top of our homepage. We can't stop criminals from trying, but we can confirm if we tried to contact you.
