BOTH THE PHONE NUMBERS ON THIS POSTER ARE WRONG! West Dorset Distrct Councils telephone number is 01305 251010. The OOH'S phone number is the same, as all our calls get diverted in the evenings and weekends. However the OOH'S operators will not have any information regarding lost dogs as the OOH'S only deal with stray dogs that require collection. Please also note that the dog was dry when this photo was taken and has now been rehomed by the finder. Many Thanks
jes
thank you everyone for your help, unfortinatly this beauty isnt our jack. Good luck and all the best to him in his new home x
jes
hola teddy, i'm really not sure, he is darker in the photos than our jack but VERY VERY similar, and he was stolen/went missing at the start of november from gloucester, so it is all a big long shot. Our jack has a broken fang on the bottom lefthand side, so it should be easy to tell if it him, aswell i posted pics on here... lost dog ref 34057. All the comunication is on hold untill monday morning now !
Teddy
jes do you think this is your dog?
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Number 1 is the West Dorset Council who do not have an out of hours service. As yhey now work alongside Weymouth & Portland dog warden service I have put their out of hours number on as number 2 but I think this is only an emergency collection number they probably have no record of the dogs found during thr week.
jes
thanx for trying, i called the out of hours number, but the lady didnt have a clue, she's given me the number for the dog warden in weymouth wich will also have to wait untill monday ! frustrating is not the word !!!
do you know if the phone 1 on here a universal doglost.co.uk number? or is it a personal number for the finder? its just that when i call it it says this EXTENSION is busy ? thanx yo for keepin on with me !
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
The number is for the West Dorset Dog warden service, I will try to find an out of hours number for you and add it to the page. How frustrating.
Edited to add that I think the out of hours service is 01305 838 333, try to call this number early tomorrow, the originalm number will have to wait till Monday morning.
jes

tw02cow
Fingers and paws crossed for you here Jes. They have a mole in the same place on the face, next to the mouth which is why I thought they might be the same dog. Hope so!
jes
hello everyone thank you SOOO much for getting in touch, im worried its too late in the evening to call now? so i will call first thing tomorwow. The picture IS much darker than jack but its got to be worth checking out ! i am trying not to explode with antisipation ! Even if this isnt jack ( and i hope he does find his owner) you guys are piggin fantastic. thanx.
tw02cow

Thanks tw02cow, I had just come back on here to check this myself after looking through all our missing ones for a match. I will alert Jack's owner, I think the found one may have been wet when the photo was taken so that could make him look darker.
tw02cow
Is there any chance that it could be 34057? I know this one is a little darker but maybe a month on the road could thicken the coat x
