I don't know what other people think but it may put people off calling if they have him and the posters say stolen? Certainly highlight on the posters that there is a reward and that he is probably in the Thorpe Edge area. The Telegraph and Argus charge about £25 for a missing advert for two days with a photo. Also keep in regular contact with Fleet Kennels in case they see posters and he ends up as a stray. I'm glad the police are helping, have everything crossed for you.

Fingers crossed this is sorted soon Katie.

Have you contacted the local schools to see if they could help, children see and hear a lot. Offer a reward towards school funds.
Katie
Hi well the police seem to think he has been sold on that's why they can't find him yes the picture is when he was younger I need to upload one of him now I'm going to put up on the posters stolen and a reward everyone is helping and I feel like I'm
Getting closer just don't understand what kind of people would keep me dog I just want him back this is awful yes I do have all his papers vet bills everything that proves he's mine the police say that they have enough evidence that he's mine they just want to get him back for me but I have to find out where and the police will go get him I'm going to put posters up all over the area where we think he is which is Thorpe edge area as people have seen him thank you for your help
Angel
That is awful Kayte. I hope your mother is receiving the help she so obviously needs and you've moved out. I assume that the people Tigger was given to then gave / sold him on and that's why the police don't know where he is? Because he's not chipped or tagged do you have another way to prove ownership when the police do finally find him? The breeder may be able to give DNA evidence. Is the picture uploaded a recent one? He looks a lot younger than 6. Put on the posters that he’s stolen and offer a reward. The people that have him must know he has been obtained in questionable circumstances so hopefully money may be of more interest to them than Tigger himself. Speak with all vets in the area and give posters to them in case Tigger is every taken into them. Although you have an idea where Tigger is, still speak with the dog wardens regularly. Good luck and fingers crossed that Tigger gets to where he needs to be.
Katie
Hi thank you to everyone that has commented much appreciated what has actually happend is my mum gave my dog away I come home from work and he was gone in devastated I don't know why she had done this I have contacted the police and got a crime number the police actually know the house of where tigger was taking but the people that have him wont hand him back to me the police say it is classed as theft but they can't get the dog as they don't tell the police where he is I've been trying endlessley for 6 weeks to try get him back I really thought the police would help but they can't until the tell them where he is then the police will go get him he is apprantley in the Thorpe edge area/idle people and neighbours have seen him but they seem to be keeping him in doors I have printed flyers and going to post them in that area I'm so heartbroken by what has happend as I have had tigger for 6 years and he's my baby I come home from work and he was gone I need to get him back so the police are now saying to find some more information out and when I find out where he is they will go get him I can't rest until I have my baby back Im
Upset to think that he's so sad that he dosent have me your help means alot and i won't stop until I have my dog back it's a very sad story I don't actually know why my mum has done this she said she wasn't thinking straight clearly not so I'm going to look around the Thorpe edge area and go from there I just hope that by Christmas I have my baby back thank you kayte

I would like more details on this.Says missing since 4th November??? do they mean December? I'm in Clayton and very willing to help but I've not seen anything locally about this dog being missing.
Angel
What does owner mean 'got taken from me'? Does that mean there's a description of people / vehicle responsible?

I can't help with postering at the moment but will keep a good lookout for Tigger when walking my gang in our area (Thornton, BD13) and spread the word amongst other dogwalkers etc. Stay safe little Tigger x

Sorry to see that TIGGER is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (35057)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
