It may be a long shot but I found a dog that looks similar to Lexi Lou only very scruffy looking in Waterfoot,Rossendale. She was wearing a red/pink collar with bones on and I left her with a lady who lives on the street we found her whilst she waited for a warden to come and collect her from Lancashire Council. Good luck!

lexilou`s mum. Sorry to see that Lexi Lou is still missing. Will pray and light candles for her safe return. The Church I attend is actually The Holy Cross and St. Francis of Assisi: so it is very apt. Paws and fingers xd too.

Thanks for posting Witchy-poos. I don't think it is Lexi Lou at Aspen as Lexi is all white and the found dog is different colours and quite dark around its muzzle. Always worth checking though :)x

Have the owners seen the 'shih-tzu' brought into Aspen yesterday? Very similar but may well be a Shih-tzu. Worth checking. Hope she's home soon.xxx

Update: The guy the owner was meeting never showed. There has been a possible sighting of Lexi and information received. I'm waiting for an update from the owner but they haven't given up on Lexi and the search for Lexi is still very much on.

Bumped due to sighting.

Just had a call from Lexi's owner. They are meeting this afternoon with the gentleman on the spot where he witnessed the accident. They are also waiting for a different council cleansing dept to get back to them. Will update later when I know more.

Have just spoken to Lexi Lous owner, still no confirmation of the accident that was mentioned. Owner is understandably distraught but it still seems to me like someone is trying to stop them looking for Lexi Lou.

Owner has this morning had a very distressing phonecall as a result of Lexi Lou being in the newspaper last night. A gentleman said that he had seen a little dog, similar to a poodle, with a pink collar run over near the Shadsworth roundabout last Tuesday 22nd which is before Lexi Lou went missing. Between us we have called the Highways Agency, Police and Council Waste Management, vets and dogs home but nothing so far. The police spoke to the man who rang and he seemed very genuine. Owner is making a few more calls, just to be sure. In the meanwhile, please keep looking out for Lexi Lou.

I have spoken to Lexi Lou's owner and the whole family are devastated. So far they have contacted the warden, police, local vets, highways for RTA's, they been to Aspen Valley Dogs Home (which is where Lexi Lou would be taken), posters are up in the area, shops, schools, vets etc. Lexi Lou is in tonights Lancashire Telegraph. The owners have done an amazing job so far in getting word out.

Lexi Lou was in the garden and the gate was found open, thought stolen at first. She seen shortly after near the local shops and then a couple stopped near Uncle Jack's pub and tried for 45 mins to catch her but Lexi is very nervous with strangers. A vet then stopped and said she would catch her and actually had hold of her at one point, confirmed the address on the collar but Lexi Lou bolted again. The owner has since spoken to the vet. Posters are being taken down as quick as they are being put up in some areas, so the owner thinks someone has her. She may still be on the run but there have been no sightings since the day she went missing.

The owners are desperate to get Lexi Lou back and have offered a cash reward for information leading to her return.
