I've typed out the article that was in the local newspaper:

The desperate search for a pair of much-loved pet boxer dogs has reached a tragic end, after both were found dead beside a railway line.
It brings a heartbreaking conclusion to the hunt for Sasha and Chloe,who disappeared from their back garden in Meadowcroft,Sutton,close to a railway line on Saturday October 29.
Owner Linda Doyle,55,said her family are devastated.
She said:"Five minutes after the phone call to say Sasha has been found,we received another to say Chloe had been found. I said 'you've got to be joking!'
"Chloe was found on the opposite side to Sasha,further down the line near St Anne's School.
"I think the train sent her flying over the fence.
"Both were found by people who live nearby.
"It was bad enough finding Sasha,but finding them both...I'm speechless!
"They have never got out there before."
Linda thanked all those who helped her search for her dogs,including neighbours and people from Boxer Rescue and Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre,who offered their support.
A woman even brought a sniffer dog to help with the search.

Still feel down about the result of this. So sad that these two lovely girls were taken away.

To Linda and Tracey. Just to say that I am still thinking of you in your grief and am still prayhing for you. Perhaps in time (Early days yet) you could two rescue Boxers who need a home like NEIGHBARK. Of course they will never take the place of Chloe and Sasha, because humans and animals should be loved in their own right. No one can take the place of someone or something we have loved. They are restored to good health now and playing at the bridge. God Bless you in your grief.

Dear Linda and Tracey, I am so very very sorry for your enormous loss. You must be so stunned, - it's unbelievable. 12 years ago I also lost my 2 dogs, within a week of each other. One was illness, the other a RTA. I was in hospital at the time, & discharged myself immediately. We were a broken family, so much sorrow. No-one can help when you are going thru' such bleak times. I hated a home without dogs, and found 2 puppies to help heal our void (not to replace but to help heal). These pups needed our love, and we so happy to give them all they deserved. They brought my family back from the bleak abyss we were in, and brought us back to life, love and eventually laughter! Now 12 years later, we still have our 'pair' of silkies - but will never forget Sandy and Sophie. Thinking of you in this saddest of times. x

This is heartbreaking. Do we know if the same thing happened to Chloe? What we do know is that these two couldn't live without each other and God knew that. Another two babies have earnt their wings so God took them quickly. Such an awful, awful thing for their owners to deal with. Please hang in there, you will get thru it for Sasha & Chloe - they need you to. They will watching over you from the safety of God's arms until you are reunited once more - this time - never to be parted again. My heart breaks for you. God bless you all. x

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

So sorry for the loss of your babies, Sasha and Chloe. Please be assured that they are together and restored to good health, where they are now at play at the bridge, perhaps with my family Boxer dog Max. You will see them again one day, and because you gave them love they will always be around you. You may even have a sign that they are still with you. I've been told by a vetinary friend that Chloe wouldn't have strayed far from Sasha. She will have stayed with her and now that Sasha has been found she will grieve and probably not be too far away.
I'm not trying to be heartless but we need a location. Finding Chloe now is urgent.

Hi hunter, we are the owners of the dogs and we trying to work out who u are, also can u let us know how u know for sure the dogs was in hornby? We was doubing the pennine drive sighting as there is a bloke there that owns 2 boxer dogs in that exact street x

I've been told that both dogs were likely spotted in Hornby Crescent,Clock Face last tuesday and it was definately them.
It's just down the road from the St Teresas school sighting and I'm absolutely convinced they are in or around the Clock Face area.

THE owner of two boxer dogs, which have gone missing, says they seem to have “disappeared off the face of the earth”.

Linda Doyle, from Meadowcroft in Sutton, was on holiday in Turkey, when a friend rang to tell her that her six-year-old pets had vanished on Saturday, October 29.

The 55-year-old said: “It ruined our holiday.

“As soon as she told me I burst into tears in the middle of the restaurant.

“My friend was staying at our house and the dogs were in the back garden. We back on to a railway embankment. When she checked on them at around 4.30pm, they weren’t there.

“There are brambles at the back, but they weren’t disturbed and with the size of them, there would be some indication. I can’t get my head around it.”

The dogs, Sasha and Chloe are sisters and suffer from a skin condition that needs ongoing medication. Linda and her family have scoured their neighbourhood and handed out posters.

She said: “We are all really upset. They are part of the family. Everyone knows them round here, so if anyone saw anything out of the ordinary, please get in touch.”

Linda is offering a reward for their safe return. They are also on doglost.co.uk with an id number 34065.

Had an update from their owner, there is still no reported sightings on them. The St Helen's Star have got back in touch and they are going to do some coverage on them which is great news, there have been good results in the past when dogs have gone in their paper.

Owner has now added a REWARD.

I've been alerted via facebook to Chloe and Sasha by a friend of owners.

Spoken to one of their owners. They got out when a door was accidentally left open at approx 3.30pm on Saturday. Their home is near a railway and the have contacted Network Rail, there have been no reported incidents on the railway.

All the right authorities have been contacted and posters have been getting displayed.

I've given further further info/advice and emailed more to them. Keeping everything crossed they are back home soon. x
