Nellie has been missed by the Central co-ordinators as she was registered under the wrong region. Have changed to Central but I see that she has been missing a long time now. I will still get her a magazine advert asapLast edited: 2012-11-05 13:32:08 by B30

Keep the posters up to make people aware she is still missing. Good luck, hope beautiful Nellie is found soon x

Hi, no news on Nel....no further siteings. Hopefully, whoever has her is being nice to her. But as vets don't usually scan dogs on all visits [boosters, check-ups etc] unless asked, it is unlikely that we will get her back, if she has a new home. Thanks,
whiskas
I was wondering the same, I keep checking back in hope of news x

Any news on Nel x

My friend is going to keep a look out as she lives close to fishponds; is retired and walks a lot around the area. I wish you all the luck in the world, I'd be devastated to lose my little dog best wishes :)
dhh
thanks 'whiskas' will make enquiries. Also found out that someone in the area where Nel 'lost herself' saw a dog sitting next to a vehicle - I assume our vehicle. She had made her way back to car, and waited for us to return....

I was talking to a friend who lives in Barlow last night and she tells me that the lady at the farm (they own the fishponds) has a reputation for helping out strays. She is involved with a Chesterfield animal shelter. Have you tried talking to her? I do hope you find her soon.
dhh
recieved call that a dog similar to Nel has been seen in Barlow...not sure if spotted on her own, or with someone who has temporarily owned her.
DogLostRiverlady
Saw Nellie on twitter so am circulating her.

Don't give up hope, as springers are great survivors. Around Barlow area where a lot of people keep horses she will find field shelters and sheds to sleep in, and there are plenty of things to catch for food. Just because she hasn't been seen doesn't mean she isn't around. Take a look at the thread for Oscar the springer x collie in Cornwall. He has been fending for himself since February and is still being sighted, though as yet he hasn't been caught.

I've merged the two photo's together and shared on my profile, my group and a couple of other missing dogs groups - i will also add her details with photo on Animal wardens website - hope Nellie is found very soon

I'm the owner, so just thought I'd let you know that I have posted on my facebook for my friends to share, on twitter and with my professional group. I rang local vets, council, dog pound and police within 48hrs. I'm not holding out much hope...but thank you for your efforts, and will continue to put up posters with vets, library and post office etc. Regards

Owner has called me back and put me in the picture. Nellie went missing from Barlow, near Red Lane not far from the fishing lakes. He thinks she may have followed the trail of her dog sitter who was out earlier. Nellie usually stays close and does not wander. There are many posters put up, and all relevant authorities have been informed. Nellie's people have been searching for many hours but no sightings as yet.
DogLostOwl
Have left another message on mobile voicemail, asking owner to call me back or post on here. There is a lot of green space around Dronfield with many woods and footpaths so we need to know where to start searching. As soon as I know anything I will post here.

I work in Dronfield so will keep an eye out, where was she last seen. Hope you find her quickly

Sorry to see that NELLIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (33989)

  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
