debs-welsh-paps, thanks you so much for the brilliant update on her reunion. What a little tinker she is, typical while everyone is running around ragged she is having the life of riley. :) x

WELL DONE for all the hard work has paid off and you got a great result. Welcome home Betty sending you lots of hugs and cuddles. xxx

Wow what a brilliant story. Who would have believed such a tiny dog could be survived for 12 days. Welcome home sweetheart.

Amazing aren't they! It's so easy to underestimate the survival skills of dogs. but they prove themselves to be resilient, resourceful and survivors despite centuries of domestication! This story gives hope to all those with lost dogs. Well done little Betty x

Welcome home Betty, what a good read/story of her capture!
Goldenfrodo
I received an email this morning telling me the great news.
I cant believe this little girl survived all that time out on her own. I must admit I was beginning to fear the worse.
I am so delighted to be able to move her into the Blue.
Welcome home Betty xx Stay very safe now sweetheart xx

BETTY IS REUNITED WITH HER FAMILY AFTER 12 DAYS ‎... the story... Betty had not been sighted in any way for a week since last Thursday... we were all getting very concerned... then amazingly she was sighted this Thursday am by the same farmer that spotted her last Thursday...she was seem... playing by a stone wall above his quarry pit .. bounding about like a happy puppy... after 11 days of solid looking I was taking a break at Midland Counties' Show... so Marie and Twm hot footed it over to the Farm to see if she was still about, she didnt appear to be so everybody decided to clear the mountain until Monica could get there to try and entice her down. I raced back from Stafford and Monica raced up from South Wales... we arrived at much the same time... we didn't have to wait long... Betty soon appeared at the top of a slate pile, looking great but very cautious... we had two other close sightings... with her sitting on a wall at one stage only feet away from Monica... but sadly she then got playful and hot footed it away with a "catch me if you can" face on... we were gutted... we stayed until well after dark but had no fresh sighting so we decided Betty had made it back to her "shelter" and went home feeling very deflated... This AM we were back at the farm very early but could find no trace... I saw a fox and feared the worst.... then at 9.30 all hell let loose with calls about sightings all over the village and on the main road!! (up till this point we dont believe she had gone near the main road) we raced there and blindly took the road that felt right _ meeting a 4wd screetching to a halt and reversing telling us she was ahead and running full pelt... thankfully she darted into a driveway and garden... so like something out od Starsky and Hutch (more Hinge and Bracket!!) we screached to a halt, stopped the traffic, and darted to block her exits... fearing a road accident or further nightmare. Everybody behind us stopped and got out of their cars ready to catch her if she bolted... and Monica covered the main driveway... Betty thankfully chose her mum rather than further adventures... and for the first time in 12 days had a human cuddle ♥ ... to the delight of our rear-guard posse who all clapped and cheered once she was secure in Monicas arms... she has lost some weight and gained two ticks and a few tangles... but she is amazingly sound in every other way and already settling back into domestic bliss... I drove her and Monica home today and just got back.... She stayed and survived within a 2 mile radius of where she went missing (despite foxes, dangerous quarry pits, roads, and waterfalls to cross, and some very lively farm dogs). We had to keep going until we had some sort of closure... Today a little domesticated Papillon proved she was as brave as a lion and as resourceful as any animal I have ever met.

another fruitless day so far... no sightings for two groups of us in all her previously sighted places... we have exhausted our options for today... doing another postering campaign over the weekend ...
debs-welsh-paps
sadly not.... she was further across the mountain today... we got a call straight away but did not find her... her mum is back in the chase now so we have more chance... trying to get a few more traps...
Goldenfrodo
Hope Betty is caught today. Good luck. Keeping fingers tightly crossed for you.

Betty spotted again this am... racing to get there
debs-welsh-paps
since Betty is out of area and very scared we have been able to borrow a trap from the RSPCA. Sightings last night and today in smallish area, so the trap is now there with a strong scent trail to it...praying for good fortune and a trapped pap... x
