Suzanne - I'm wishing you support, love and hope. Your little girl is so beautiful. Never give up hope, always keep looking on the various dog sites. It must be heartbreaking for you and all the other people who've had their dogs taken. The people here on Doglost are such an amazing band of dog-loving people, whose love for doggies never ceases to amaze me. The men in white vans, with lurchers have so much to answer for!!!!!! Wish I could infiltrate their 'camps' and bring out all the doggies who I believe to be in their captivity. Stay in touch. if u need a dog-loving 'friend' when u r feeling down, call me. 07974 443931. Regards, Nola.

Felicity, you wouldn't believe the number of people who have been made happy by Lily's return! Almost everywhere I've gone to take down the posters, people have been really delighted to know she's home safe and well. Give her a big hug.
zeffi
Yipee!! Fantastic news that she's home safe and well!! Lots of hugs for lovely Lily.
So glad to be able to help, look forward to meeting you and Lily. Now to round up the posters ...
Felicity

Such Great News, The chipping system seriously works. After 13 weeks I have my little dog back. She was found in Southampton tonight and we collected her very quickly after. I Still want to thank Ruth for all her help in trying to find her and to give me the strength to believe that I should never give up that she would come back one day............

Thank you for kind words, Felicity. Have been away, and am so sorry to see that Lily has not been found yet, nor any sightings.

I wonder if Doglost Admin would consider putting an ad for her in the Countryman's Weekly?

I will try to get out this week to check on Lily's posters I put up and see if I can put any more up round and about. Apart from the ones I put up, where else has been postered (don't want to double-poster). Does anyone know how to make smaller flyers from the posters? I could have given away several to dog and non-dog walkers so any advice would be welcome.
Felicity
I also wanted to thank Ruth for her kindness, support and hard work in putting up so many posters for me........ Thankyou, your support is much appreciated.
Felicity
Finally, I have got on here! Thanks Marcus for you mail. The dog you saw was Biggles, and is Lilly's Dad and lives just down the road from us. They do look alike that is for sure!!. Fingers crossed we are still keeping our eyes open and looking about. Sadly two sightings that were reported to me did not pay off - one was male and the other pure white!!
Thanks again. Felicity

Owner is having trouble logging in but has been alerted to your post Marcus...tx
Marcus
..by the way, Biggles emerged from the house just south of Pitlands Farm.
Marcus
Saw a very similar dog just outside Up Marden on 10/10/11 around 3pm. A lady with a young daughter and baby in a pushchair said the dog's name was Biggles, and was Lily's father. She was aware that Lily was missing. Biggles had a bad right back leg, and limped. The lady seemed genuine, and I couldn't see the sex of the dog, so I've no great reason to suspect anything suspicious, but I thought I'd just leave a message here to cross-check the story with the owner. Let me know if I can help further. Marcus.

Hi. I have recently lost a jack russell bitch Bonnie and feel that she has been stolen. I was wondering if you would let me know if you are contacted about a jack russell which is not lilly you would let me know and I will do the same??
Regards Suzanne

Thanks Jayne, it's just scratching the surface I'm afraid, but hopefully will help.

When we spoke to Lily's owner yesterday, she has already done quite a lot of police (has CRN nmber), vets, kennels, farmers, gamekeepers and dog warden contacts. She has also been searching the woods etc round about. We suggested she also contact East Hants dog warden, and see if there is a mobile library which will take a poster.

There is a school at Compton, might be a good idea to see if they will take a poster. Also contact post depot to get the posties to take Lily's poster round with them. Same for the refuse men.
Would Uppark House take a poster? See if their estate management people will take one as they must be out and about in woods and fields this time of year.
Also contact Havant dog warden, in case Lily got (taken) that far.

If Lily isn't found in the next few days, we'll try to get out during the week to do some more postering - will liase with Lily's owner first. Zeffi & Ruth

Spoke to Lily's owner today.

Printed off some posters and gave one to Stansted Garden Centre, and another to the Tea Rooms at Stansted. Put up posters at both car parks for Stansted Park, also one at footpath at the Westbourne end and one at footpath at Forestside end. Spoke to several dog walkers and showed them Lily's poster. Could have used some smaller flyers to give to them, how could we make/print them?

Poster given to The Barley Mow at Stoughton, and one pinned up at the car park at Stoughton Down. Another put up at the entrance to Wildham Wood (on the lane from Stoughton to Chilgrove).
Posters given to The Fish House at Chilgrove, the Village Shop and Tea Room at Compton, and the Victoria Inn at West Marden.

The Hare & Hound at Walderton and the Coach and Horses at Compton were both closed when we went there.

(Also saw plenty of posters still up for Pippa and Annie (Doglost ids 30297 & 30298) lost in June.)

Hope they all get home soon. Zeffi & Ruth

Is this Up Marden in the Downs near Chichester/Petersfield? If so I think the post code would be something like PO18.
