Elaine, welcome on board! x

Such fantastic news, so pleased Poppy is home, well done for persisting and taking on board Kim's advice. It is shocking the failings of the council in this instance (and plenty of other times across the country).....we all know the reality of the situation and how this potentially could have ended very differently which doesn't bear thinking about! Bigs hugs to Poppy. x

That's excellent news - I'd been meaning to join Dogslost for ages and it was Jason who reminded me about Dogslost! Just goes to show your system works, now I will look out for other dogs lost in the area - what an excellent organisation, so glad Poppy is home again!

Go for it Jason! Raise the roof at the council and the police station as well! So pleased you got Poopy in the end.

Jason, I am so very happy for you! Thank you for texting me to let me know! We shall be moving Poppy into the blue very soon. As I said in text, please get her microchipped urgently. Good dog warden. Sadly, this does happen too many times, but you are one of the lucky ones and you got your baby back! Well done to you for your perseverence! You did it! Welcome home, Poppy girl! x

FOUND POPPY....Poppy was delivered by the Dog Warden this afternoon and I am over thr moon!...thank you for all your help and advice, i kept contacting the Dog Warden (who was very nice) only thing I will say is keep badgering the wardens as Poppy was reported about 5 times to the Havering council and although the people answering the phone seemed really helpful, the information was not passed onto the Dog Warden, she was dumped at Romford Police station on the day she went missing....Police station was contacted several times, but the said no dog was handed in, when clearly it was. The is a massive fault in the dog reporting process in councils, so always keep phoning the dog warden , I used the email form that you get when you type in lost dog for council services (Havering in my case), I am going to write a high level complaint to the council and pressure them to sort the system out. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is involved in DogLost, I shall continue to support this and will poster tonight for dogs lost in my area. I am so grateful to all of you.
Thank you
Jason.

Is there an e-mail addy for owners or a friend? Want to send some info and advice.
Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
JayH, if you have not done so already, ensure you log Poppy as missing with Battersea Dogs Home. Also, do all the usual dog wardens, vets etc, then as Kim says its all hands to the deck postering!

Good to see you posting! Well done! You CAN do this. We just have to let the world know she's missing and she's yours! Keep going, I know it's not easy, but it all helps and most often it works! Come on baby, let's get you home. x

I have postered the area and have printed some more posters that i shall put up tonight.Am going to keep searching the area, thank you for all your help. Hope to get her back soon!

Thanks Elaine. The way to get Poppy home is to put up hundreds of posters all around the area she went from and working outwards at least a couple of miles radius to start with. Poster everything - lamp posts, benches, give to vets, rescues, taxi drivers, bus drivers, cafes, schools, keep checking with the dog wardens, vets & rescues. Without a mircrochip you have to be extremely vigilent in checking as we don't want Poppy to get rehomed because they don't know she belongs to someone. Please emphasise to owner how important all this us. She CAN get her home, but we all need to work at it. Let's get Poppy home! x
