I have been given the name of someone beleived to be responsible for stealing our dogs...i have told the police but as it is not grounded evidence they wont investigate. I wondered, as we know it is definetly the same people as the ones who stole Sid in Hambledon, whether it would be worth them ringing with the same information and seeing if their police investigate. ?

Just a thought - would it be worth emailing posters to helpers in the area where Pippa was found? thinking the pups could be in that part of the country.

Longshot - my friend is looking after a black and tan puppy. Is a male jrt terrier x. Vet says is approx 8 to 12 weeks. Was abandoned at a London police station. Pup is chipped, owner traced and alleges bought from a pet shop. situation apparently suspicious. Have txt number above if the want further info. Pup is local to Reading now. Tuula

I have been liasing with TVP on this one and i can now confirm that i can advise that the vehicle used in this theft has been found dumped and burnt out so no longer can be used as a means to trace anything.

Owner has been spreading the owrd and hopefully will get more media coverage this week in some articles that have been done. Although its the BBC US/canada site the dogs have a mention on a recent article today which is getting good number of views.

This is all rather confusing, can someone please clarify (a) if the reported Subaru is still important in the Ashampstead theft (anniewye says it's "written off"?); (b) if it's definitely thought to be the same one involved at Hambledon? I'm tweeting regularly about both cases, it's getting a lot of response on Twitter, & I want to make sure that what I'm tweeting is accurate & up-to-date. Thanks! :D

This vehicle was seen several times in the area on the 21st.

It seems to be the same ppl who took our dogs as the cocker at Hambledon Estate. Now the car is written off we need any suspicious vehicles reported.

  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (32106)
