I've just been informed that Prince has been reunited with his owner.

This was poasted on FB. No pics but in the area for about 5 weeks. PLS check. Thank you. x Please be aware of a large black and tan Shepherd that has been on the run around the Dodford area for five weeks. He is nervy. He's wearing a red collar and has a lame back leg. If anyone spots him, please call Ray Dedicoat of Hollytrees sanctuary on 01564 823244. Ray has been trying to catch the dog for weeks, but he's proving very elusive.

Have Prince's owners checked on here for any found GSD's around the time he went missing? Also, when exactly was that and is long or short haired?Last edited: 2011-08-08 17:08:18 by Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum

Prince was staying with relatives of his owners whilst they were on holiday when he escaped from the garden along with his owners other dog. Their other dog was reunited 3 days later via the stray kennels but Prince just seems to have vanished. His microchip details were up to date when he went missing and his owner continues to keep them updated. Everything possible was done to try to find Prince at the time he went missing but his owners have recently been alerted to register Prince with doglost.
By now Prince would be around three and a half to four years old.Although he went missing from relatives in Sunderland his owners live in Durham. With over a year passing by since he vanished his owners wonder if he may now be happily in a new home but need to know what has happened to their much loved pet and that he is okay. They are unsure if they have a photo of him but if they cant find one we will use a photo of a similar dog. Hoping so much that we have some news of Prince ~ PamLast edited: 2011-07-25 23:57:24 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Sorry to see that PRINCE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31333)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
