According to a Facebook status, this dog was seen late yesterday in a farmer's feild in Jesmond. The witness was a delivery driver so unable to stop until later when he then stroked the dog with no knowledge it was a missing pet. There is no update as to the exact farmhouse or area just yet, just described as "it was nxt to a farmers field and there was loads of horses in ill rng work when some 1 is bk in the office and ask they address where we went but they may not have it on the system still. And the house we deliverd to was on the side of the field and it had a huge ariel in the garden and there was no main gas to the street and they all had gas bottles conected to the houses if that helps". This is from http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002624809204&sk=wall so might be worthwhile notifying the Jesmond area helpers? Hope the above helps.
hello janey
this is just awful for the family,,but if not chipped then time is so important,,you will need to visit the kennels to check who is there,,only you will know your dog,,and sadly just about most of them just now are staffies in kennels,,hope that you get a sighting at least to know where to start searching,,hang on in there ;-)

Thankyou RAFAJulie and Lindy ! Tyson was travelling on the Metro but he became separated from the person he was travelling with ......... they got off and he was left on as the tram pulled away. The tram was only a few stops away from the town centre and its thought he may have still been on the tram when it finished its journey in the town centre. His owners have been unable to find out any witnesses or cctv footage to show what happened to Tyson when he was left on the tram. There have been a few possible sightings of him recently in the HADRIAN PARK and BATTLEFIELD areas. Owners have been in contact with the dog warden and local stray kennels and have been postering. Hoping to see Tyson back home again very soon xLast edited: 2011-07-25 12:29:32 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Sorry to see that TYSON is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31289)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
