I've just had a look at 30614 and unfortunately he's much darker than Max.

Poor Max, where are you! LSmalling - have you been in contact with the council, for Dog warden & traveller liaison officer? They may know of areas that could be postered to grab people's attention. Now its summer, check out local fate, fairs, carnivals and such like to grab people's attention further afield!

LSmalling I have emailed you the photos that I took of this dog and the contact details and times that you may call the kennels to try and find out more - they may ask you to email pictures through for comparision so see if you can find some pictures of Max that show his chest marking clearly

Unless your lost date is not correct 17749 CANNOT be you dog as he was found in May 2009 - found dates and contact numbers are in the boxes above if you see any other possible matches

Lizzy - it says on that dogs profile found on the 24th March 2009 - so unless the information is untrue then it can't be Max, but good detective work. Shame we can't get a picture, just tried calling and it rang out.

Hello, Could you upload a picture of Max by sending a picture to admin@doglost.co.uk

By postering in your local area, you'll be surprised just how many people get involved. Also if you send over your email address I can send over a form with some great informaton to start contacting dog wardens, vets, and police if the dog was stolen. Thanks, Michelle

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (30523)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
• You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
• Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
