Been in tears reading this....I always thought one day I would see Tucker back in the blue....so so sorry Beanie 245 my heart is with you and your family...I think Tucker and Trilby finally decided it was time for him to be found and brought home to you. Let him rest peacefully on your turf knowing now that he is safe and home. You never gave up and he would have been so proud of you all....Run free at the Bridge Tucker, watching over your family forever xxx

Beanie, I am sitting here in tears of sadness and feelings of amazement on hearing your story. I have only just heard and I so wish it was a different outcome, but so glad Tucker is truly home. You found him, or rather he found you. Animals are truly amazing and I am positive Tucker and Trilby worked together on this. I do totally agree; sometimes in desperately sad situations, you do see the most amazing co-incidences. Simply meant to be. Why you had to go through two years of this, I do not know? Maybe when are all in heaven too, it will all become clear. Everyone can see you are the most wonderful, kind people and didn't deserve to go through such a devastating time. I truly do not know where you found the courage. Obviously, the time was right and Tucker made sure he got back to you. Well done to Trilby. Tucker has left an amazing legacy, living on through you to help others. God bless sweetest Tucker, safe in God's arms, wearing his little wings. I bet he has a smile on his face this week, as he knows you will be okay now, under his care, from above. God bless you, always. With love, Kim x
Beanie245
Thank you for your kind wishes it really means the world to us, together with the support you all gave us throughout our search which was priceless...
Tucker is now at rest at home where he belongs. The not knowing was unbearable but the fact that our little man finally came home with the help of his friend Trilby seems a miracle after all this time, it seems Tucker came to give us his last goodbye as best he could. It certainly makes us think that "there are greater things in heaven and on earth......." for which we are very grateful.
( AMAZING DL team!! keep up the good work we will continue helping all we can) XXXLast edited: 2013-04-18 17:47:01 by Beanie245

Things happen for a reason, and for whatever reason, one of your boys brought back Tucker to you, not in the way you hoped, of course not, but he's now "found" and your hearts can heal, you can now grieve for him, and he's "home" with you all. They never leave us, just that little set of paw prints they run across our hearts... so sad for you, but happy too, that you now have an answer (although probably many more questions)... he'll be waiting at the Bridge for you when the time comes x
DogLostAngus
Sitting here and can hardly see the screen throught the tears -I'm not quite sure that I have the words to express how devastated I feel for Beanie245 ( Mother & Daughter )

Over the time that Tucker has been missing your dedication to try to find him has been insurmountable, every possible lead has been followed up where ever in the country it may have been.

Tucker has brought us all together and I am proud to have you both as friends - how I wish the outcome could have been different but in finding his remains you are able to know that he is not suffering and is back in the fold of your family where he knew only love and happiness, maybe that is his sign to you as his parents.

Nothing will dull the pain that you are feeling right now but Tuckers legacy lives on in all the dogs you have helped and assisted on this journey - the world is a better place for beautiful people like you.

God Speed little Tucker - safe at last with your family again xx

Poor Tucker RIP little man..at least you owners have now 'found' you..thoughts are with your family, sorry it was not a happy outcome xx

This is the saddest news. You've never given up and helped so many unfortunates along the way. Your kindness deserved to be rewarded by your dear sweet boy making it safely home.

Tucker's now in the summerlands at Rainbow Bridge with the warm sunshine on his back for evermore but I'm sure inbetween his Tucky Runs he'll be watching...and waiting at the gate.

Thinking of you XX

So sorry for the outcome, but at ,least you can lay Tucker to rest, and you have closure. Night, night little lamb, sleep tight, and have fun at the bridge, until you are reunited once again with your family. Tucker may be out of your life in body, but he is still with you in spirit. Look down on your family Tucker, as they really need your strength at this sad time. Many (((HUGS))) to Tucker`s owners. Will light a candle for tucker, and his family. RIP+ God Blessx

oh my goodness i am so gutted for you, I always hoped one day I would check and Tucker would be in the blue but not in this way. So sorry :(
Beanie245
Although devastated we are somewhat thankful that although not as we had hoped, we are finally able to send our beloved Tucker into the blue and sadly confirm that he safely at Rainbow Bridge.
Having lived in hope of his safe return unfortunately for us on the 13th April and almost 2 year's to the day that Tucker went missing we reluctantly accept with 99% certainty that we have finally found the closure we were so desperate for..

I feel sure our amazing doglost friends, helper's and faithful Tucker follower's would all like to know the details of what appears to be a miracle under the circumstances....
A huge thank you to you ALL, everyone played a part in being our 'Rock' , your an invaluable lifeline for lost/missing dogs and their owner's, we could not have coped without you.

A few days ago we were notified that not far from our home skeletal remains of what appeared to be a small dog had been sighted on our land, on set aside near a copse. Although doubtful as my daughter regularly rides out along this pathway and had not seen anything before we assumed it would be a fox or badger. We searched but could see no sign and obviously planned to look again later the next day, however Tucker's friend and playmate Trilby decided to beat us to it, he found and retrieved the skeleton and to our amazement presented it at our feet in the garden that morning.
At first we were in denial but on investigation the teeth showed the same chip in his tooth, although only partial the skeleton was correct size/height and the distinctive very, very short docked tail bone was apparent and striking evidence, together
with confirmation from vet to the authenticity/age etc. all pointing towards proof that our faithful friend Tucker had been miraculously found at last.
We had searched this area many times previously especially as a local beekeeper places a couple of bee hives nearby in the summer and we were always concerned because as a puppy Tucker went into anaphylactic shock from a bee sting, he would have died had it not been for ultra quick action from us and our vet .... luckily from then on Tucker was instinctively wary of the ZZZZ noise.
As our other dogs Trilby and Ted never found a scent trail there in the early days but seemed to pick up on scents from reported sightings, we will always wonder if Tucker was finally on his way home after previously being taken? and/or slipped into a coma from a fatal bee sting?.....
We will never know the facts but after almost two years of heartache and endless imagining's the thought that Tucker died on his home turf on one of his "Tucky Run's" brings us his family great comfort...

For us Tucker has left a lasting legacy by making both my daughter and I aware of the plight of all the lost, stolen, stray, homeless, abused dogs and heartbroken owner's of missing dogs out there... we will continue our regular searches in the hope that we can help in some small way and ever hopeful of re-uniting as many as we can.

Night, night sleep tight on your '"Cloud" little man... in our heart's always faithful friend X
Beanie245

Thanks so much Gail (scootjockey) I know Tucker is always in your thoughts as always it means alot.
Thankfully Promising news that at least you have an idea where Tay is and I trust he is well even though my thoughts about the guy that took him are not printable. As always keep a look out for him. I read an article today on 'the dog news examiner' site about a stolen dog being reunited after 5 years due to a strange or God sent set of circumstances...I am sure its things like this that keep us sane and hoping!! emmalouise
I didn't see the tail unfortunately
In Bath southwest running with a woman, I'd be very sure the dog would of been rehomed from BCDH
I'm not very good with heights but I think this dog was taller than that, I have a pretty long legged jrt cross and he was more long legged than him
but so strange because in every other way he looked exactly like your boy
I'll keep an eye out anyway, as you said the tail looks very distinctive, if I see him again I'll take a picture, as I said he must be a distant relative!
Beanie245
Thanks for checking Tucker Emmalouise, Tucker is approx 15/16" high big giveaway is his very short docked tail, only a small fluffy stub really.. What area would you have seen the dog? Tucker is semi long soft terrier type coat BUT when wet looks very slim/whippet shape!! Very fast runner so possibly crossed with a lurcher type.
Missing our boy so much and wishing, hoping, praying for news..Ted and Trilby waiting at home for Tucker too!!
THANKS SUE...
THANKS FOR THE BUMP SUELast edited: 2012-09-01 20:11:17 by Beanie245

Only just saw Tucker's picture, so strange I saw a dog the spitting image of him a few days ago but he was more long-legged and the height of a whippet/lurcher, the face was so similar tho! must be a long lost relative x
hm on reading further the description from Beanie I can see it does say that he resembles a whippet? but he definitely doesn't look as tall as this dog in his pictures Last edited: 2012-09-01 16:55:47 by emmalouise

Thanks Beanie for posting our Tays page. He dont get many postings for obvious reasons bless him. We know you always include him in searches, you never have forgotten him, you are a lovely big hearted lady. Your kindness and thoughtfullness has never gone unnoticed. Thing have progressed for Tay and although we have known who has him since Dec/Jan and they are breeding him, puppies without fathers papers were offered to my Ex Brother In Law. He was also approached as he has a Brittany Spaniel( looks similar) about breeding it with their Welshie earlier in the year, he hadnt put the two together untill the pups thing.Im sure of another litter back in the summer which they couldnt advertise. I found pups being sold by him on net in Dec I got to veiw them they were ESS I was miffed but not convinced he hadnt another litter(Instinct) waited a while untill the above info came through to me. Tays thief is the neighbour we were tipped off about 2 weeks after he was stolen. That said we still dont know where hes being kept.Stuffs happened recently and Id expected his release......so we pray as we wait some more, its his call. As always wishing you all the best Beanie love Tays mum x

Thanks so much Sue... Full description below in case anyone recognizes him... COULD BE ANY AREA BY NOW..

Beanie245
Neighbark, yes we do...not too savvy with computer's but will get laura to email you them... possibly worth me asking Sue to change pic on here, although think we already chose the better one's.
DESCRIPTION:-
Tucker's front is all white from top of his neck downwards, also his shoulders and legs... the light tan (some might say fawn?) patches are on his side's and back near tail..his very short fluffy tail stub is also light tan.
His head ears and face are light tan, little white intermingled around nose and bottom jaw whiter.
The tan looks darker when dirty or wet... when newly bathed the colour is nearer to fawn.
Most of his foot pads are pink, they used to get itchy after running through the undergrowth and he has light freckled pigment on pink skin showing under tummy area.
If he got too hot he would literally lie down in a puddle... then his wavy coat would look grey and very dirty and body shape resemble a whippet as quite a slim build under his fluffier coat. Very speedy once on a rabbit trail etc.. We Miss him so very much!!
oops....Sorry for long description but may be of help to anyone else reading..XLast edited: 2012-07-04 19:16:41 by Beanie245

I've just shared little Tucker on my facebook too.
hopes for the right person seeing him in Countrymans mag this week. I've started a list of active owners of lost dogs and hope to be able to 'talk' to them on a news-type forum where owners can communicate and exchange ideas - without clogging-up precious Doglost pages. Rag's mum (wensmum) has asked someone to do this. Can't wait to hear new ideas that MUST be forthcoming! Yes thanks for your advice Nik. N

Beanie245
Nik... Yes after investigating this option we bow to your experience, need to look at more cost effective way and avoid a shot in the dark approach.. waiting in anticipation of news of forum being created I am sure if enough people on side we can come up with a master marketing plan... thank you so much for your creative help and kind involvement!!

I am very concerned about owners contributing to the cost of one national press ad. My professional advice to Neighbark (as a marketing & communications consultant) was that it was unadvisable. Advertising works over a period of time and has to be targeted to the right group of people. Even if it was appropriate, how do you know the Daily Mail is the right paper ? Have you checked NRS ?
B30
It's hard to believe that a year has gone by and Tucker is still not home Beanie. I'll get him another advert as soon as possible.
Beanie245
Sue... It helped having Tucker's page bumped for his one year missing anniversary had a couple of calls and its reassuring that people are still out there looking out for him, inc. Sherlock Bones who is vigilant as ever...Thankyou
Having found dog almost identical to Tucker on a website..with Sue co-ordinator DL central prompt help managed to eliminate from our search pretty quickly before hopes got too high... Very grateful for the continued support even after all this time the Doglost team are priceless. also like to put a good word in for local rescue Nanna's who even though work tirelessly to help all there rescue animals are also always ready to help!!! Thx

Hi Sammie, Scootjockey & Jobadger, Sammie - We are trying to get owners and non-owners together, but first need to contact everyone via phone or emails. We need to list and contact everyone who would be interested in getting together to make plans and try and get our furry friends back. I too am leaving posts on Tuckers and Rags pages, and chase about trying to pick messages up. Difficult. Yes I am on f.B. - but feel a bit exposed as its in my real name and gives a bit too much info out for my liking and comfort. We don't really want the dog-thieves to know what we're planning, if u get my drift..... So can u email Beannie (see email address on Tucker's site or rags site. We'll soon contact owners of missing dogs. I too am a DL volunteer and have helped find 2 dogs. It's a wonderful feeling. there are many DL people working their way thru' the site day in night out, the unsung heroes whose reward is seeing dogs go into the blue. This microchipping and lack of scanning is a major problem. Hope to get us all together in the not too distant future, but most of all - hope to get these poor doggies and poor owners back together. Viva the Doglost team! So much going on in their discreet fight against missing and stolen dogs.

Hi Scootjockey/Jobodger welcome aboard, great to here from you... Initially email us your's to laura@hfdesign.net .. Together with Neighbark and Rags mum who has already been trying to gain attention for changes re Chipping, plan to compile list of interested owner's and passionate campaigner's, EVERYONE welcome to email who would like to join forces to tackle the many issue's that blight our searching and equally gain greater publicity for our Missing/Stolen and lost friends, together with Doglost and their campaign's.... Kimmy Bear's determination is making waves for Cassie's campaign to name but one.

Thank you Gaynor.. we are investigating that idea as you say national's are expensive and beyond majority of owner's mean's hence looking at all avenue's... the more publicity idea's on board the better.Last edited: 2012-06-14 19:58:35 by Beanie245

Hi Beannie.... Great Idea for us with long lost dogs. I obviosly agree with everything were unhappy with as I have frustratingly been on the receiving end of most, hitting brick wall`s etc,as many of us have. Count me in as a campaigner if we could make just a little difference and get the Microchip working reliably and effectifly that would make a big difference, anything else a bonus. How do I contact you ?stolen Tays mum xxx
PaulaK
cant believe its been a year, still check on Tuckers page regularly x
Gaynor
Hello, just a thought regarding your postings below about national newspaper coverage and the huge costs involved. Have you investigated whether it would be cheaper to have a flyer insert rather than a full-page actually in the paper? When I open the Saturday Mail these days more and more flyers fall out (as indeed they do from all magazines). Might be worth comparing the costs.Last edited: 2012-06-13 23:39:11 by Gaynor
Neighbark
Biscuit turning up has really got my mojo working again! I understand more and more how frustrating it is (for you poor owners of missing/stolen dogs in particular), - to know just how few dogs are scanned- when they are taken to a vet's practise for the first visit. Rags mum has written to the PDSA - asking for them to scan dogs taken to them. They refuse. If the Royal Vets college would give the directive - then it might happen. WE ALL NEED TO WRITE TO THEM - DEMANDING THEY SCAN ! What's the point in promoting chipping - if so many don't bother scanning!

IF MORE SCANNING WAS BEING CARRIED OUT - THEN TUCKER, RAGS, BROOK, OSCAR, KIP and thousands of other missing dogs - might be living with their distraught owners right now.
BBKM
Hi Beanie245, I too still check websites etc for your gorgeous Tucker, I know I don't post on here often but he is one who stays in my mind and any dog that passes me of similar appearance gets a good, sly eye check over....he has to be somewhere and I hope one day very soon you get that news we are all hoping for. Hope you are safe little lad wherever you are xxx

Grateful Thanks to everyone, it means so much that Tucker is not forgotten.. IF on Facebook please send his Poster/link to all your friends..He could be ANYWHERE, maybe near you!!!XXX

Thankyou June it means alot and to everyone for all their kindness and help. Never a day goes by without thinking of him..every night we say 'Maybe news tomorrow??' "Your cloud(his quilt bed) is waiting Tucker, keep safe and night night little man." .. So desperate for news he is safe, some kind of closure. Thinking get home now thoughts for Tucker at this time. Can't believe it was a year ago that I met you and of course still looking. Good luck in the latest campaign.
Beanie245
Neighbark Grateful and Many thanks to you and wensmum for you efforts our email is laura@hfdesign.net (email me so that I have yours too if you wish)... costs may be beyond many distraught owner's, it is heartbreaking I really am amazed at the price but feel 'where there is a will' and the more people on board the better. Happy to investigate re editorial if you let me know if/who has or has not been approached etc... I thought of contacting Liz Jones Daily Mail? who it would seem from her diary page in the Mail Sunday Mag is a huge animal lover and often has editorial in the daily editions..

There is a chance we might be able to get editiorial - hang on in there, will keep you posted on here or through Neighbark

Hi Beannie, I've had a reply from Nik the PR lady. If u let me know your email address-I'll forward it on to you. It has rather deflated me, but I haven't given up and won't! I have a list of around 40 of the owners who - like you and Caroline... just don't seem to rest in their search. From my enquiries yestrday, the Daily Mail quoted £21,600 (inc 20% vat)for one full colour page, between t.v. and sports. If we could get 36 owners to each have a 7cm x 5 cm box with dogs piccie in, AND have a bold heading saying something like "HAVE YOU SEEN OUR LOST DOGS" - then I make this £600 each. It's down to money of course. This is a straight advert. They say its discounted.
So one day only, one full colour page, £600 each. Its a gamble that only the poor owners can decide on. If only it wasn't so expensive - to be able to put one in each of the daily papers would stand a much better chance (of course). It's down to being in the right place...at the right time of course....Mrs Smith happening to open that paper on that day and see your dog - recognise it...and call you. I'll copy this posting onto Rags page for Wensmum. N. x

Beanie245
Neighbark... Sorry for delay in getting back and will give you a call... just giving this some thought re best way forward and trying to list other possible owner's still searching.
It will be a year since Tucker went missing on the 13th June so any action is very welcome. Thankyou for your support.
Beanie245
Many thanks Cath for being vigilant ... have messaged and will call, every possibility investigated as always!!

Little Tucker and Rags do look alike....

Hi Beanie - saw your reply on Rags page. I've suggested advertising like this in the past - I was so angry about all the JRT's and other dogs stolen in the S.E..... How can we start this up then? Contact the owners and get them to commit to this by paying in a sum. How and who would be the 'treasurer' ? Who would sort the advert? I have limited time (my mum terminal illness), but would certainly contact papers and try to get best deals. It needs people to commit. Any suggestions and ideas? The posting I put on Rags - that would need putting on all long-searching owners pages, and all contacted. I'm in Worcestershire, you are I believe in Northants. If real interst - then I would come to a meeting to really sort this. My mobile no is 07974 443931.

Thanks Zeffi... still living in hope and its always good to see another little dog thats been missing for quite a while re-united its a comforting to know all is possible... praying for that day for Tucker too.
People are still very much aware of Tucker's plight, a lot of local villages have kindly left up Tucker's poster's (have to keep replacing other's in parks and towns etc.) and ring us regularly if a dog is found.. had a call yesterday from Jenny in Sywell many thanks for thinking of Tucker for us!!x
zeffi
Still looking at Tucker's page and hoping to see good news. Beanie, you have helped so many others it surely has to your turn soon. Stay strong and don't stop hoping. Love zeffi xx

Its you we need to see Tucker miss you so much little man will never give up searching!!

If this dog is collected by the Dog Warden, then he will be taken to Forest Lodge Kennels in Quinton as they deal with the strays in that area. Keep checking with them that he hasnt been picked up. Go and see them instead of calling.

Tucker has been responsible for helping a lot of other dogs while he has been missing - can everyone please spare a moment to share his profile and print a poster for your car - He has been missing since June of this year but owners have worked so hard to find him - some of their work can be seen on Tessa's page http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=33493
Beanie245
Thanks June we check almost daily and follow up any possibles.. but yes agree and thanks for sending email as more specific info can make all the difference for the dogs to have a real chance of being reunited..

Have you seen the little brown/white JR terrier cross on the found section today? No idea where Matson Lane is though. I'm sending an email to H/O to ask if people could be a bit less vague about place names as it means nothing if you don't live there.

NEWSFLASH... Just had call re sighting of dog matching Tucker's description 'with another friend grey broken coated terrier type' both bedraggled but healthy followed walker for three miles in open countryside (Sibbertoft area again)to Rosary Cottage Westhorpe(Nr Gliding Club) then ran off on bridlepath to Hothorpe, they began following from Bucklehill Farm area?? Anyone who know's the area please keep a look out... its getting cold so may have brought Tucker into the open... Guess where we will be a dawn...
Beanie245
Thanks Zeffi and Angus... we are still scouring the net, making regular calls to everyone we can think of just in case Tucker's been handed in...We have cross checked all previous info and eliminated sightings that proved to be another dog.. Its so very hard when there is no news but we strongly feel that Tucker is with someone and its just a matter of time before we get that all important break!! X

My Rambling Group is doing a 5 mile walk on footpaths starting at Arthingworth on Wednesday morning. I have asked the walk leader to contact me immediately should they have a sighting of Tucker.
Beanie245
I agree Chappers thats the press for you it would seem..specifically asked them to mention Doglost website as being 'A Rock' to missing dog owner's.. but then they could not even get Tucker's proper description or his picture in either.. We emailed asking them again as had calls from people asking what he looked like. Its really distressing to read what is happening with other dogs.... They just do not know the difference getting it right would make not only to us but the site, volunteer's and other missing dog owner's.... that is until maybe it happens to the reporter!!
Chappers
I read the article in the ET & wondered why you hadn't taken the opportunity to mention DogLost. I might have guessed you had but they decided to miss that bit out - as they do!! Give it another go, lots more dogs gone missing in area since Tucker ....sigh!
Beanie245
Dinglehorse thankyou for that... we are so grateful.
We miss Tucker so much and think of him all the timeX

Another little dog reunited tonight after missing for 5hrs... a man called us having seen our Tucker poster"s he had found a little terrier/poodle cross in Rushton he sent us a mobile pic obviously not Tucker but agreed to keep him safe for the night ... in the meantime the distraught owner had phoned my auntie for advice as she was aware of our plight re Tucker... Bingo anther happy ending!!
Tucker's cause has helped so many other little dogs find their way home.. Come on little man we so need you home too!!
Beanie245
Plan to try the psychic route... They say animals are Psychic who knows but its a possibility we have not tried!!!
Beanie245
They say no news is good news.. could really do with some!!

way to go Beanie - you are doing a great job with the re-homing the strays and unwanted babies - you should be due some good karma very soon xx
Beanie245
The report in the paper did bring in some calls.. but now need the Telegraph to print a pic and correct description as everyone wants to know what Tucker looks like!!! Have updated and re-posted the poster's that have been taken down!!
Guess what.. another little 'unwanted'(not missing or lost)dog to re-home young and cute so will not be a problem... even resembles Tucker so very special!!
Berties Family
Thank you Beanie245 - posted on my face book and messaged everyone I know in the area xx
Come on Mr Tucker - home time xxxx
Beanie245
Berties family Tucker has been sighted both on the back road and at Low Farm itself and the first set of barns on the gated road off thst road... also the Dutch barn on the clipston to Kelmarsh Road Nr the crossroads... please spread the word and thankyou!!
Beanie245
Very Grateful to the Telegraph Just a shame they did not get the description to Include "Light Tan patches",REWARD (or include Tucker's pic which was sent) and thank the public and the doglostco.uk website for their support!! publicity for the site might have made it easier for other missing dog owner's... and brought in some funds!!
Published on Monday 5 September 2011 EVENING TELEGRAPH...
RANSOM demands, checking the identity of dead dogs and numerous false hopes – one woman’s search for her lost pet dog has seen it all.
But Elaine Myatt, 50, of Rothwell, says she is still not giving up on seeing her small white terrier, Tucker, again.
The woman’s district-wide search was launched after the dog went missing from farmland in the town on June 13.
So far in her search she has been called by a group of unknown people threatening to kill her dog if she did not put forward some money.
Believing it had escaped from its captors, she has also gone to visit four dead dogs in the district to check none of them were Tucker.
She has also received several calls from members of the public.
Miss Myatt said: “I’d appeal to anyone to get in touch if they know where he is.”
The dog is described as white, small and with a docked tail.
Anyone who can help Miss Myatt can contact 07855 840838

Beanie245
Maybe a breakthrough following email ..The Evening Telegraph contacted us today having seen Tucker's poster's in Rothwell and in light of all the cruelly stolen dogs in the area of late asked about our story.. have emailed info/pic to them together with a request to highlight and thank all volunteer's involved in doglost cause being the lifeline to all distressed missing dog owner's together with thanking all the caring public who have contacted us in our search... Hoping to see Tucker's face in the news.... Praying for a result!!
Beanie245
Checked dog rescues and wardens again today but no sign of him as yet.. Gail DW Market Harborough said she was called out to the Tucker sighting at Low Farm and checked the area at the time to no avail but is fully aware of Tucker so that's good news if he gets picked up that way!
Beanie245
Many Thanks for that June.. was not aware of that will check it out Its a minefield trying to find where the lost dogs go!!
Really appreciate that Zeffie .. we think we are just doing what anyone in our position would do to find their faithful friend but must admit searching has opened our eyes we will never give up looking for him and if we can help other's on the way then all is not in vain.
Come on Tucker we need a clue!!
June
After having met you in Moulton I have just read in the council minutes that our local strays are taken to Dunsmore Kennels, Stretton on Dunsmore. I wasn't aware of this and still thought it was Forest Lodge Kennels in Quinton. I'm sure you try all around on a frequent basis just in case he slips through the net.
zeffi
I look at Tucker's page every day, and so much hope to see him reunited very soon. Beanie245, you have been so tireless in your search, and so thoughtful and generous to the other lost dogs you have found, you are a real star. Wishing you good luck in your search and a happy homecoming for Tucker.
Beanie245
We are missing you like crazy little man Tucker... doing everything we can.
Just need another sighting.. its getting colder so hoping you will show yourself very soon.
Beanie245
So many comments from people yesterday saying how difficult it is to judge size of Tucker from photo's so for the record he is approx 15 to 16 inches high longer legs than norm for terrier very lightweight body.. even more so now we imagine.. with that all important very tiny docked tail!!
Working on area that Ted took us to and praying for a sighting!!
Scrappy2010
Come on Tucker, you are really making this hard for your owners boy. Fingers crossed theres some good news soon. Well done to all involved in looking for this little man. Will continue to share until he's home. x
Beanie245
Just wanted to add as the youth of today get a lot of stick the 6 teens that came today proved that they do care... thanks to all the adults too plus all the little dogs who did their share chews all round for them and saving one for MollyMoo and friend's tooXLast edited: 2011-08-28 21:55:32 by Beanie245

Big Thankyou to all who gave their time today helping to search for Tucker.. No sighting of him but made lots of good contacts from Gamekeeper's etc. to Nina who lives Nr sightings and had kindly checked all the Badger sets with her terrier in the area most people knew about Tucker and were on the look out too..
Uncanny but our other dog Ted,Tucker's life long friend dismissed the route my party wanted to take and took us on a long trek over fields at a stiff pace to the Dutch Barn (Sibbertoft to Clipston/Kelmarsh road) where Tucker was reportedly sighted... this gives us hope that he is there somewhere!!!Last edited: 2011-08-28 19:43:03 by Beanie245

Will check back on here for info tomorrow. Trying to get out of babysitting to join you.
MollyMoo
Hi Beanie - I was away yesterday, so please confirm, is it still 4pm tomorrow? And is it The Bull at Clipston? Anyone else reading this, PLEASE join us, even if you can only spend an hour. Beanie, please just confirm meeting loc. For info, I've also got a few copies of the OS maps of the area to hand out, which show the bridle paths/foot paths etc. Tomorrow could be the day xxxx
Beanie245
Jennypenny, Thanks for the info very helpful and will certainly place an advert in the swift flash.. really appreciate your help have a good weekend with baby!!
Jennypenny
Come on Tucker, stop playing hide and seek. It's time Tucker you went home to your family. Good luck tomorrow, just incase you don't already know, the fields from the bridle way near the park/tennis courts and the footpath just off Kelmarsh Rd, Clipston by the houses & small farm yard is all open access countryside for walking towards Kelmarsh direction! I will keep looking everyday until his home. Have you heard of the swift flash? It gets delivered free to every household every Wednesday in villages, like Sibbertoft, Nasbey, Welford, Husbands Bosworth, sulby and loads more (but not Clipston) maybe worth putting a lost ad in there. fingers crossed he shows himself tomorrow. Good luck....hoping to hear some good news soon
Beanie245
we have 8 friends meeting for search tomorrow possibly(The Bull initially) maybe Clipston to Kelmarsh and Jurrasic walk could be covered??... Trust weather will be kind to volunteer's and fully understand Molly Moo if it is bad/or otherwise you decide against it, you have been so helpful already.. but all suggestions/idea's welcome!!
Have updated some old posters and found a few more footpaths to poster today heading in the Harrington/Draughton direction. Come on TUCKER everyone is trying there very best!!
Things have been very quiet this week so trying to remain positive for tomorrow.
Ellie
Will be thinking of your all on your search on Sunday. I cannot drive due to hand surgery (dog collar injury!) and Snowdrop is on her night duty week so we are unable to help but if you need us the following week please just say. Good Luck all and stay safe Tucker.
Beanie245
Very wet search this morning.. but thought worth being out at the optimum 'Tucker sighted' time but no luck yet.. checked all barns as Tucker hates the wet!! Put up more poster's Naseby side (also shop)and heading back from Kellmarsh. Saw postman who promised to put leaflet at PO collections office Bins out for collection so posted leaflets for Bin men to see too.. spoke to more rider's and farmer's its amazing how many people are now aware.
MollyMoo ... Seems with weekend being the bank holiday many friends already have plans but still have a few people willing to help on Sunday 4pm!!
Saw lots of new posters around..Many thanks to MollyMoo and Jennypenny you are stars!!XXX
Jennypenny
Yes I saw the poster, I parked up by there! If u take the jurassic way route, the other side of the road to the poster, across a field, then through the ploughed field and enter the woods. Just up there on the right is a pheasant/game birds holding pen and loads of game birds in there. I tried to go up there but my dogs were going mad wanting the birds so I turned back. The gateway before that on your left, I think it's a reddish gate and they have bins outside, also there are maps by the gate. That is the route that takes you over the fields to the gate opposite Lowe Farm. Good luck in finding him today X
Beanie245
Jennypenny..Thankyou so much we are really so grateful..info much appreciated did poster by the Jurassic route noted a huge woodland similar to Tucker's home habitat re pheasants etc..will investigate further tomorrow!!
The extra help has given us much needed relief.. Huge thanks to Mollymoo's team for their tremendous effort!!
Jennypenny
Thanks for dropping the posters off. Ive been from the gated road to Marston Trussell across the fields heading towards Lowe Farm again and no sign. So much countryside to cover, I hope he shows himself soon. I can't make it Sun, but I hope there is a sighting soon! Just before Lowe Farm there is a gate opposite with a map on. (and room to park) That route takes you across the countryside bringing you out to the Marston Trussell gated road. There are a lot of game birds down there being fed for the shooting season so if he is about he may be trying to catch them to eat. Worth covering in your search, although I haven't any luck seeing him, but it's a lot of land and woods about there. Fingers crossed tomorrow is the day he is home X
Beanie245
It was good to meet you at last Molly moo and partner's its wonderful of you to take out time and help with our search for Tucker... we covered the gated road clipston area called on all the outlying farms and houses towards Marston Trussell and Naseby side postered etc Left food at barn where Tucker sighted ... Just in case he heads that way, will start working our way back again in direction of Harrington tomorrow, for some reason Friday is usually a day Tucker is sighted!!.. Called in at the ;shambala festival' at Kelmarsh and poster's at all gates... Sunday 4pm is fine with us will gather as many as possible..
Dropped poster's /flyer's off for Jenny Penny.. Big Thankyou in advance for your help too XXX
dawny
Beanie, mollymoo and jennypenny, good luck with your search for Tucker, Come on Tucker, please show yourself, everyone wants to see you in the blue!! FINGERS CROSSED!!
MollyMoo
I'm going to throw a date and time out there... How about Sun @ 4pm? If Tucker hasn't been found by then, would anyone be willing to meet up and we could saturate an area with/without our dogs to try and find Tucker? The more the merrier, so ask friends with dogs.
Beanie245
Hi Kimmybear... we are checking with all/updating regularly and keeping to the triangle methods, although we think that due to previous issues with people that move around!! Tucker was taken from the place of early sightings as after not getting any sightings for a while we suddenly got a lot of calls from the area we are now concentrating on, however all leads near and far have been checked and either eliminated or added.. so difficult without us actually seeing him but hopefully luck will be on our side.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Have you got a triangle emerging from these sightings? If you have, then it is quite likely to be Tucker. They tend to make a triangle shape and then stick with it over and over again. Or, they hang around the area they were lost in or the area they know, but even that could be a triangle shape. If Tucker is someplace else, possibly taken and dropped off there, he will probably still do a triangle shape but over there. Don't forget to keep checking with the kennels, vets, wardens etc. Check every week with the rescues/kennels. Come on Tucker, let Mummy find you now. x
Beanie245
Thanks Trish.. on to it...still aware that if Tucker has been picked up he could be moved on anywhere!! X
Beanie245
Molly... will be over there around 6.30 tonight?? with my sister.. have been over early today!
Jenny.. most popular time for sightings seems to be 11am - Ipm if your out and about with baby but as been spotted all times so do what ever suits!! .. its so kind I remember how limited time can be with a little one!! Could drop off some poster's for you tonight if thats OK.. Maybe you would like to text?
trish
This is a long shot, but everything is worth double checking... how about this little chap at Bath cats & Dogs home....http://www.bathcatsanddogshome.org.uk/rehoming/dogs/tin_tin/2041/
MollyMoo
Usually mid/late afternoon or early evening is best for me, but will obviously work around the favoured time to suit the masses. I've printed of a few more posters today, and will photocopy them today so we've got loads (Good idea, Jennypenny). I'll check in again after work before I go to Arthingworth.
Beanie245
Jennypenny/Mollymoo it is fantastic to know what you are doing for Tucker and yes of course we will rally our friends, would be so grateful to meet for a mass search at the weekend we are usually there so can arrange time to suit? Will bring more poster's as you suggest Mollymoo, we have spoken to every farmer/ farm in the area we could find and they have our number but need to cover further afield.
So grateful for any help... we need to bring Tucker home!!XXX
B30
have put your post back on Jennypenny!
Jennypenny
Hi Mollymoo/ Beanie, I was out looking too in that area and the fields heading to Lowe Farm yesterday afternoon but no luck. Good idea Mollymoo, for a mass search. I'm willing to help, I have a young baby so I am a bit limited when I can go though, but will keep looking every day in and around Clipston. I haven't got a printer, but if Beanie can print loads of posters I am happy to go out with my pram and plaster posters everywhere in Clipston and surrounding villages. Putting a poster on every footpath entrance to the fields near the sightings may help too as it's popular for walking. The farmers have been out busy baling straw this week so well worth asking them to keep an eye out too.
MollyMoo
I'm sorry Beanie - I didn't find him tonight... But we'll be out again tomorrow from around 6.30pm. Tonight I parked on the Sibbertoft Rd, Clipston, nr the Marston turn, and did a few fields there. Tomorrow, I'm going to try to park somewhere the pub at Arthingworth and walk towards Harrington, unless another sighting comes in the meantime. If anyone fancies it, maybe a few of us could arrange a mass dog walk for a couple of hours over the weekend, or one evening? Just post on here if your interested.. The more areas we can cover at one time, the sooner we can get Tucker back to his mum and dad. Let me know.

Hi Jennypenny and MollyMoo, That would be a huge help to us thankyou so much... main area's of sightings within the last two weeks are the Back Road Clipston to sibbertoft around the Low Farm area and next door stables saw him on the bridle way to Arthingworth, also seen on the other Sibberfoft to Clipston Road Nr crossroads (holiday cottage on corner) around the open dutch barn in fields, seen walking on both of these roads/he runs into fields when approached, more recently the gated road Clipston which I believe is also Nr a junction to Marston Trussel a few days ago!! Apparently seen earlier last week running with another stray terrier bitch (At low Farm)which was caught but dog sighted as Tucker ran away but we think he maybe hanging around because of the bitch a lady called Anne is looking after.. most reported sightings seem to be between 10am and 8pm but obviously this is when most people are about ha!! .. Tucker is very scared/ dirty/scruffy by now but must be hungry and would be great if you have food to tempt or leave for him(he knows the word dinner&sausages lol!!), if you do see him try and keep watch call us and we will come straight away (about 15mts from us) if you could get a pic on phone that would be great too to identify further.... we come over every day almost but such a vast area if he is trying to find his way home maybe heading in the Brampton Cycle Way/Harrington direction and there is a brook in the area going to Arthingorth etc,.. Both feel free to call us and we will be happy to call you back.. it is a great help to know that someone else is looking for Tucky and so very much appreciated...X P.s He is a very friendly dog although right now very confused but is very good with all other dogs and loves the girlie's scent..Last edited: 2011-08-24 10:51:40 by Beanie245

Hi, I live in Clipston and have seen your ad in the Welland Valley feeds website. I have three dogs so I'm always out walking in the area and know this countryside well. Can you give further info on the recent sightings as I am also happy to excerise my dogs in and about the area of Tucker sightings in hope to see him. I really hope he is home safe with you soon.
MollyMoo
Right. I'm planning to go Tucker hunting over the next couple of evenings with my Border Terrier. Please confirm, where would you recommend I start from? Where's the best starting point at present? I'm only in Market Harborough, so I can make my way to anywhere. I've given my little border a good talking to, and she's up for the challenge.. Let me know xxx
Beanie245
We have found it difficult to understand why Tucker is running scared from everyone but having seen how frightened the sheltie featured in the pet detectives CH4 acted after only seven days, we can see why after such a long time and 'god knows what' Tucker is behaving this way... very insightful.
dawny
This is good, very positive news, come on Tucker, we are all wishing to see you in the blue XX
Beanie245
Have spoken to lady today who lives at the farm where Tucker was sighted(pinching food!) apparently there was also a terrier type bitch seen at the same time that had obviously had pups.. the farm have managed to catch the bitch which was very timid and in poor condition but were unable to catch the dog identified as Tucker... he ran away into the fields (as seems to be the case with all sightings) but they are looking out for him in the hope he comes back as the bitch is there... finger's crossed.
They are of the opinion that the dogs had been dumped a while ago going on there condition and the fact that both dogs are new to the area!! Obviously we are searching the area daily and hoping the trap comes in useful!!
Hello Rottie... thank you yes all bin men, postmen, walker's, clubs etc etc. notified and updated..
rottie
hello, just a thought but have you contacted the bin men so they could keep a look out on their travels, also any local builders merchants who travel the area or haulage companies, you have probably already done this x fingers still crossedLast edited: 2011-08-22 09:05:14 by rottie

Very wet search today.. know you hate the wet Tucker so guess you were lying low... Not sure which way he will head next so put poster's in villages further afield, spoke to more farmer's, dog club and anyone we bumped into including a tramp and his dog, even he had seen Tucker's poster's and is on the look out!!
Thanks scrappy keep sending those positive vibes X
Scrappy2010
Beanie, you are doing such a fantastic job. Tucker seems to be making everyone work very hard to find him. No one more than you have done so much and tried so hard to get a missing/stolen dog home. You really are an amazingly dedicated owner. I truly believe Tucker will be found and will return home. Keep up the good work. Tucker it really is past time to come home now boy, so give yourself up pls. x
Beanie245
Out searching nearly all day (in between our 'must do' life ha)... so promising that nearly everyone we now speak to in search area is 'TUCKER AWARE" ... followed path of a brook for miles with our other dog TED, got stuck on a gated road!! although no sightings today... spoke again to the people who HAVE seen him, Farmer's/stable yards are being brilliant passing on the word. Put updated poster's on country footpaths/bridle ways, along Brampton cycle way etc.. any of these routes could lead Tucker home.
Many thanks for your text today June.. very kind offer, Houndie you too ... will bare in mind, it seems the sightings are getting closer to home.
Angus re farms.. both most recent sightings at farms adjacent to each other.. have not been able to use trap at the moment as sightings in vast open countryside and not easy for anyone to check regularly although farms are putting out food and monitoring!!
BIG thankyou to all the Tucker follower's it really helps us keep going to have such positive and kind support XXXLast edited: 2011-08-17 19:59:18 by Beanie245

Sighting of Tucker which fits in with the last sightings. Beanie off there now to search and set the trap. Good Luck!!!
Beanie245
So kind of you Houndie and very much appreciated as we have been checking out Harrington and Kelmarsh area's again (close to Rothwell) following two more calls suggesting possible sightings in that area..
June got straight onto it...Thankyou for checking though as a little late getting on site today more searching... very very similar but Tucker's tail is very very short and he has a little more white on his face and lighter Tan although by now have gathered that colours vary depending on light in the pictures.
Food had gone from trap today, trap door closed but nothing inside... puzzling!!
June
Beanie have you seen found dog 31861. He is so like Tucker.
Houndie
Walked around the fields this morning from pytchley to isham but no sign unfortunately.
Beanie245
Tucker stop making us go in circles or should I say Triangles... and show yourself loads of Girlie dogs in Kelmarsh where are you??
Beanie245
Thanks Ellie, Just got back..have been driving all around there and posted nearest villages, farms, pubs etc... also gave Kelmarsh security a poster about our found dog ID ref 31745 9/8/11 too which he said will give to organizer's to copy and put around rings etc.. held a hoover bag outside car window hopefully left some kind of scent all the way home... otherwise got covered in dust for nothing lol... another long day without you Tucker but tomorrow is the 13th Lucky for some over there again tomorrow... plus checking the trap etc..Last edited: 2011-08-12 22:45:47 by Beanie245

We are just willing him to head over there tonight or in the next couple of nights, there are lots of people caravanning there so lots of bbq smells to entice him. Stay safe til you are found little chap.
Beanie245
Ellie and Snowdrop so grateful we wanted to get there but its like dogs central station here at the mo lol.... but we will go over that way tonight as funnily enough we have had two calls re stray dog mostly white and tan scruffy looking Nr the Sibertoft/clipston Road area which we can not fail to follow up.. not sure if it could be Tucker in that area but they both saw our poster's and said very similar!! Like all the other sightings running in the side of the road but when called shot off into fields.... Please keep sending out the vibes GailXX
Snowdrop
Ellie and i have been to Kelmarsh show today, the people there were only too happy to let us put Tuckers Lost poster up, they cant be missed and people were looking as i was putting them up and said that they will keep an eye out for him. One thought - we wondered if the smell of dogs and bbqs there later will attract him xxx

Beanie245
Scrappy and Kimmybear Thanks for the messages of support... we know there are lots of dogs and owner's out there just like us and Tucker, only too happy to help when we can... we are so lucky to have so many sightings which seem to be getting closer to home and in similar area's feel sure that Tucker is trying to find his way home and will continue to do everything in our power to help him do so.
Another lady phoned re sighting a few miles south of previous location .. on the case as always!!
Can not thank all involved enough...Sue and Sandy for their fantastic backup...the 'Doglost' site is the much needed rock for all of us searching.

Beanie, you are a gem for caring about the other dogs and the owners on here. Sounds like you are on the right track for Tucker. More sightings. Remember the scenting instructions and try to do this in the area you want Tucker to hang around and not near the travellers sites! You are doing so well! He is okay - you have had sightings - not just one. xLast edited: 2011-08-11 20:51:23 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Scrappy2010
Hi Beanie, well our rescue have got Ziggy the Yorkshire terrier terrier (aka escape artist) back, which is wonderful. I am so happy the little terrier owners are reunited with their little one. We will continue to share and crosspost Tucker on all other dog/ lost/ rescue sites. We have had a good week this week with a lot of dogs found and reunited. We will keep going until they are all found and reunited. You are doing a great job looking for Tucker. Dont give up x
June
Hi Beanie, sorry i didn't get on here today but had my dog in the vet with a tooth abcess. All sorted now. Glad the terrier was united with his owner. You do seem to attract them don't you? Stiil hoping like mad for Tucker to appear on your horizon.
Beanie245
Moulton Dog was a lovely border terrier, finder has now reunited him with his owner... Big thankyou and well done John for returning to where you picked him up and finding the visiting owner's.
Not so warm for tonight Tucker been out and about looking but guess he's snuggled up somewhere till morning... maybe the wind will carry the mackerel scent... praying to see him.
mandy
So pleased the little dog was claimed by its owner, this has put my mind at rest, this is all such an emotional roller coaster,I won't give up on finding Lillie I know she is out there somewhere just waiting for me to find her, I'm not going to let her down.
Good luck with your search, hope the little dog in Moulton is Tucker!!

I would like to thank Tuckers owner and her daughter for contacting me yesterday about the little yorkie they have found, sadly this was not my Lillie, even though it was a very close likeness it was not her. Lillie has been missing since last September Dog ID 25258 registered 24th September 2010.Good luck with your search I hope Tucker is found safe and well soon.Mandyx
Beanie245
Further call today following more poster's in sighting area.. from lady and her friend saying they also saw Tucker in Broughton, in fields rear of Oak Ave/Glebe Avenue last Wednesday and not far from Sundays sighting.. so seem to be on right track!! All hands on deck in the search.
Had another call from a man in area south of us which we followed up and guess what our other dog followed a scent and we managed to catch another stray... see Found Dog ID 31745 listed tonight see for more info, now safe with us sweet little chap... Good luck Beannie. You have found and managed to watch travellers site( i know how difficult it is to do so)they dont hang around for long though. Sending every good vibe your way and a little angel to guide Tucker.gail xxx
June
Had one thought you might also have had. If the Irish man has indeed caught the yorkie could he also have caught Tucker?
Scrappy2010
Thanks for keeping us up to date Beanie. If you could keep a look out for the Yorkie, that would be great. You are doing a great job looking for Tucker, wish all animal owners were as dedicated as you, if any dog deserves to be found, its Tucker. Keep up the good work.x
Beanie245
Thanks June keep praying for us...Have been searching non stop while leads are hot... Many friends keeping a look out along with us, farmhands etc.. but no sign of Tucker yet but its all open countryside, just what Tucker's used too, massive area to cover!
Scrappy/Kimmybear... Rather worried re Yorkie as saw finder of Lurcher again today who said the Irish man told him the yorkie had found its way home so no need to look... although decided to not take this as read and will continue to search as we were told how nervous the tittle mite was.
Obviously also can not help but think that as all three dogs were seen in same place they were together, do not think that Tucker would return to site though when he is so close(4/5miles) to home although A43 is between!!!, he has been known to cover this distance easily by himself we are all PRAYING FOR TUCKER's SAFETY... be assured that we will dot every 'i' and cross every 't' that comes up.
BIG Thankyou to you all for being there for us it means a lot..

DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
You are nearly there! Well done. You CAN do this. Tucker you are nearly home sweetheart.x If anyone can get that Yorkie, you will save its life. Make sure it gets checked against missing dogs or call us for help. Take it to the dog warden, vets or rescue. If it was the Irish man's, it would have come to him. Good luck out there. x
June
So close now. I have to look here first every morning. Good luck today.
Beanie245
Thankyou Ellie and Snowdrop for your kind offer... we have bases covered for now but will keep you informed as can get very tiring as you can imagine but all for a good cause.
Scrappy- the Yorkie was seen yesterday running with a brown male lurcher which has been caught today and returned by finder (number on collar) belonged to traveler's!. The Yorkie was seen again today on its own very timid and could not be caught apparently the Irish man said it was his.. is called smokey and difficult to catch.. he did not hang around to do so. None have been sighted by us just info we gathered during search today.
The sightings of Tucker have been re confirmed by pics plus info only known to us re Tucker's behavior so very hopeful.. He was seen today running alone along Broughton Rd, Pytchley heading towards Pytchley village, by the lady who called us at 11a.m and a farmer who saw him a little earlier who confirmed he also saw him yesterday in fields Nr same area with a lurcher!! ... put updated poster's all around, nearest villages, called at farms etc as all open countryside...have all eye;s looking for both so will let you know any news.
Kimmybear.. XLast edited: 2011-08-07 23:11:53 by Beanie245

UPDATE..had a call re sighting of Tucker this morning 11a.m on the Pytchley Road, just off A43 heading towards Pytchley/Orlingbury Crossroads...(In the triangle area of search)on investigation we also spoke to a farmer who saw him in the fields earlier today and yesterday... massive search all morning, have re postered and farmer gave permission so have reset trap, bitches scented etc... Also two other dogs sighted a Lurcher and Yorkshire Terrier will get more info and update asap... strange all in same area!!Last edited: 2011-08-07 14:09:31 by Beanie245

It is the International Agility Festival at Kelmarsh Hall 12 - 14 August, I am hoping to go on one of the days, wonder if anyone else going could please take posters and flyers.

Well said Nanna its not difficult to see from the sites which dogs are in the minority and need more help... we for sure will continue to try and make a difference and hope that anyone out there reading this will do the same...
Trawling every website I can find and out there checking daily...everything possible is being investigated.
Praying for Tucker as always our little man is missed so very much..
NannaD
Beanie - I've not dealt with kennels in that area and I've no idea what kennels outside the east midlands area are like. I know of only one which takes it upon themselves to rehome some dogs and they actually neuter, microchip, flea treat, etc, which is unheard of as far as I know amongst dog pounds. There is a downside (isn't there always?), they tend to 'cherry pick'. They've enough experience to know what type of dog is likely to be rehomed. I can't name them here - wouldn't be fair or right I suppose. Not surprised you've heard a horror story beanie. Until everyone starts realising that all animals have feelings, their own personalities and the right to a decent life or a dignified death, I don't know what the answer is. I dispair of the human race all the time. I guess the answer is to help and care as much as we can and hope that makes a difference. It sure is time that Tucker of yours was home though. Wish I lived closer so I could help.
Beanie245
We can only go on possible pic confirmed sightings which suggested x3 Rothwell park area.. food etc is replenished but thought the bitches in season would have lured any dog but no luck yet!!
Like you Nanna cannot understand the gain from stealing.. Recession, too many unwanted dogs already etc.. though puppies are cute maybe this just add's to the ongoing cycle... has really opened our eyes with regards to some council funded pounds!! If nothing else Tucker's plight has highlighted the lack of communication, thought detail etc that is needed to really help owner's in their search.. I for one will do my best to change this.
Have you ever dealt with kennels in FY6 area? or are they mostly just the same? Heard another story today makes me so angry.
NannaD
What on earth is going on with all these dogs being stolen? I see this on facebook and other sites and wonder what happens to all the little mites. I always wonder what happens to whole litters of puppies from breeders and puppy farms - so many out there. Have you left any food for tucker beanie? Not that it proves anything if it disappears - what with foxes, feral cats, etc. I guess you don't have a clear picture of where he might be at the moment?
Beanie245
Yet another dawn patrol was really hoping for a breakthrough following last nights walkabout as a friend kindly came with his pair of in season gun dogs to scent the area again. Still not sure if we are on the right track but compelled to consider all possibilities home or away.. at last the police came to take some details today.. as think there has been a dog napping also in Rothwell ... a litter of collie pups and a Cocker Spaniel were taken yesterday... info on Facebook.
Beanie245
Very interesting Nanna you must have heard it all one way or another... Happy to help with fostering as we did for Jodie.. now reunited!! If needed.
Dawn search of trap, as expected black feral cat we have kept seeing... hopefully will bring luck for Tucker!!
As for the other story... the saga goes on....
NannaD
sorry beanie - should have checked properly before blurting that out, but neighbour was adamant it was a ringer for tucker. As for the holding kennels, if it's the one I think it is, they're well known in the midlands area, and not for the right reasons and currently the subject of an investigation (whistleblowing). To be honest though, none of them are great. I've been working with various rescues for years and there's only one pound that I can think of that actually seem to care. We all know these pounds have thousands of strays to deal with but their general attitude is bad and often its really difficult to get any info out of them at all. My heart goes out to you and I sincerely hope that dog wasn't Tucker. Treating you like that, I don't know how they sleep at night. Best of luck.
Beanie245
Thanks for that NannaD Tucker's tail is docked and very short... Kennels in question was out of our area but lets just say I know where/what you mean... have been appalled by the lack of detail given by some wardens when some dogs are taken in, surely exact pick up area, contact details of finder etc should be automatically recorded at the kennels from the dog wardens( very difficult to get this info when your searching) ... after all they can not speak for themselves.
NannaD
Okay, strike that - just spoke to neighbour. The dog she saw definitely had a long tail. Sorry.
NannaD
Beanie - which holding kennels did you contact? It might be significant. My neighbour told me - a long shot I know - that they saw a dog the spitting image of Tucker being walked by a chap and two boys out of the car park at Morrisons at Spinney Hill, just up the road from me. She didn't pay much attention at the time because the dog was wagging its tail. She did say that this dog tail tended to curl up and over (not docked), but as she's not a dog owner she wouldn't know they'd do that at certain times anyway. I'm really sorry I can't give you any more info, but that holding kennels needs to be more helpful - they get local authority funding after all!
Beanie245
Dawn noon and dusk checks no sign as yet... No stone left unturned and still aware that anything is possible hence we rang re dog found finder very, very helpful gave very similar details..so called holding Kennels which are a long way hoping for help but they could not even send a pic to eliminate the dog which yesterday was still there on its 6th Day we begged but no compassion .. The finder who also knew the dog was still there kindly offered to go today and get a pic for us to help identify one way or the other... she was refused entry and told the dog had now gone/ would not say how/where etc and could not even confirm if they were talking about the dog she took in... why so rude and unhelpful not only to us but also to the kind lady who was trying to help us eliminate a possible!! Again just left wondering and worse still WHAT IF IT WAS TUCKER... unfortunately hear from a lot of people who have encountered the same .
Beanie245
Full attention on plan B.... and other options.
Huge thanks for that houndie will keep you informed on our progress!!
Come on Tucker home is calling.

Great that reports of sightings are continuing to come in Beanie.
Beanie245
With so many positive sightings in the same area we very thankfully have many friends/family (plus Us and Ted his four legged friend of course at midday today as seems the optimum sighting time) all searching at different times, handing leaflets and talking to as many as people as possible... one lady even promised to let us know of a bitch in season to help!!
Thanks Snowdrop and everyone please pray for Tucker's 'into the blue' status...Last edited: 2011-07-27 21:26:49 by Beanie245

Dawn patrol... a lovely morning but no sign of Tucker but will go back again later, hoping new poster's there will jog someone's memory.
Thanks Sue for your concern very much appreciated.
B30
Thanks for the update Beanie. I hope it won't be long now.
Beanie245
Phone call today suggests Tucker is out there fending for himself still in the Rothwell/The Brook/ Park area.. still close to previous sightings and in the countryside terrain he is used to ... have been out all day making enquiries which are proving positive. Have put updated poster's in this area also.
Beanie245
Stay safe Tucker... we are having to go in a round about way whilst dotting all the i's.
Beanie245
Lots of people working on our behalf... so grateful!!.
Beanie245
It seems that there are one set of laws for us... and another set for the other's!!! So frustrating but we are doing our best Tucker and will not give up.....
Beanie245
Still ploughing threw the minefield.... more details!!
Working on getting Jodie/Tucker story in the local newspaper... hopefully highlight the plight of lost dogs/owner's and the wonderful help/info/support 'Doglost' team offer.. finger's crossed.
Beanie245
Missing you so much Tucker.... our eyes are wide open!!!

Made a visit to Forest Lodge they could not believe Jodie's happy ending but so pleased.
So many helpless dogs there looking for a special someone ( Zara was desperate for some love if any one is looking for a very friendly companion...)
Beanie245
Big thank you Snowdrop so very much appreciated.... We are on full alert having come so close just praying for a Tucker breakthrough... positive thinking has paid off and as in Jodie's story fate can work wonder's... Good luck to everyone else out there too we are thinking of you.
Snowdrop
Tuckers poster is going up at Bradgate park in Leicester today, i know its a long way from where he is but its so poppular with dog walkers.Delighted to hear that Jodie is home xxxx
Beanie245
A big highlight today was re-uniting our foster dog Jodie(ID30981) the old and wobbly labrador cross with her owners so thank you Jodie for the smiles and tears all round reunion .... Everyone loves a love happy ending, rest assured that we are putting every bit as much effort into Tucker's homecoming...
Ellie
Wish there were more people in the world like you Beanie245. What an emotional jpourney you are on. Snowdrop and I took Tuckers poster (and also missing Sadie) to the summer fair and dog show for Guide dogs at Whetstone today and asked them to display it. You deserve some good news soon.
Beanie245
Our Band of helper's is increasing and we are so grateful to all the wonderful people who are out there on Tucker's behalf... upping the anti.
In the meantime Tucker your Grandma Dolly is keeping your bed warm.
DogLostAngus
Have bumped Tucker to raise his profile in the NN14 area - fingers crossed for a break through very soon
Beanie245
Actively following new leads for NN14 area.... If local to this area please keep your eyes peeled!!
Note the very old/wobbly LabradorX we are helping to try and reunite was picked up in Northfield Avenue NN16 on Saturday 9th July by warden (was possibly also seen in Cowper Street) we do not think she would have wondered very far so anyone in that area please ask around for her as she is obviously missing her owner and would be very grateful!!. New updated posters re recent sightings and £££ Cash reward to re place old ones... larger Bold Print placards put on A43 Nr Mawsley roundabout as still trying to find man in shirt, tie, suit /Black Volvo Estate seen at witness sighting incident last Friday to enable us to confirm or eliminate, Monitoring as usual. We also have an addition to the family being lost dog member Labrador X bitch shown as NN7 but we understand picked up NN14who was just too old to remain in Rescue Kennels will do our very best to reunite, she really seems to be missing someone badly but for now is resting easy!!
AntheaB
THx E - have sent email xxx
Beanie245
Thanks Anthea....Trying to obtain more Info on reported A43 sighting... to add or dismiss to/from previous sightings but just in case checking farther afield rescue centers, If anyone else is checking these please keep a look out in other area's we are including Tucker's friends in our's too.Last edited: 2011-07-13 09:55:37 by Beanie245

Do not worry Tucker..just like Liam Neeson in Taken, We will find you,,
AntheaB
E - don't listen to people who say he's just another dog. He's part of your family and your lives, and nothing is more important right now. I wouldn't place any bets that everyone here feels the same way, I'd lose badly. You're doing such an amazing job, hope you know that. xx
Beanie245
Spent the weekend and today investigating sightings to confirm or eliminate.. established witness's, even names etc. just have to find a way around a red tape brick wall sorry for being cryptic, the search for Tucker is still very much in progress.... to some he may just be a little dog but he is our dog and we miss him so very much.. Thanks Gail I know you know how it feels, we have dog loving relatives in the Birmingham area and have emailed Tays info... XXXLast edited: 2011-07-11 23:26:45 by Beanie245

Sorry tucker is missing. Its heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with all the people searching for there dearly loved missng dogs.Best wishes gail Tays mumxxx
Beanie245
We think so too... he is used to country area's and very capable of catching his dinner and it would be possible to make his way home over the countryside hence have scented area's etc... usually very friendly but probably very confused as not used to more built up area's, trust his traffic sense will keep him safe...We do have small traps but fear we would catch wildlife rather than Tucker but very willing to try anything!! so thank you for your tip Reynard.Last edited: 2011-07-10 12:20:13 by Beanie245

This is very positive Beanie245 this would suggest Tucker is still in the area and looking after himself , perhaps a Trap in this area may work but it needs to be monitered daily. Good Luck! x
Beanie245
Another call today from lady (who saw Tucker on Facebook) of sighting last Thursday in Rothwell which is not too far from the area of other reported sightings, she attempted to catch him but he ran away and like the other's said he did not have his collar... the daily search goes on plus some leads to follow up. Poster campaign increased, a BIG thankyou to all helpers and calls from well wisher's ... come on Tucker we need a home run little man!!
Sorry for delay Anthea its been a long day!!Last edited: 2011-07-09 22:15:37 by Beanie245

Heavens E, what a rollercoaster you're on. Shared on Jasper's FB page and will keep bumping over the weekend. E, could you give us a link from the recent siting (from google maps) plse? Is there anywhere around that area where the little fella could be in hiding? The only bit of Moulton I know is the village from booth rise end - is that way off the mark? If not, that's really close to me, just off Kettering rd. A xxx

Thanks for the message Beanie, back up to the top he goes!
Beanie245
So grateful June very kind of you to help... Strangely we had another call tonight from a man who's wife swears she saw Tucker on the A43 at around 7.30pm today at the Broughton/Pytchley Island (nearer home) a man in a suit/Black Volvo was trying to catch him!!.. she then saw our poster and they contacted us they even drove back to meet us at the sighting to try and help... Dog wardens/police etc notified, scented the area to home....the original caller this morning also says the dog she saw on the A43 by Moulton looked like Tucker.... Praying for good news!! I was the person you met on Crowfields Common. Just looking in to see if you had any luck. I'm sorry you didn't but glad the other little dog was Ok. I drove round to a couple of other green spaces looking but found nothing. Will keep all these poor little dogs in mind.
Beanie245
Early search as call re possible sighting... panic stricken as dog of similar description was on the A43 during rush hour traffic.. finally confirmed that it was not Tucker and dog was OK... but many thanks to a concerned motorist who went to great trouble to contact us... People do notice the posters and we even met a lady at Crowfield's Meadow's Moulton who knew all about Tucker, Jasper, Sid etc.. keep up the good work Dog Lost team we could not cope without your support and will be doing a fund raiser when time allows!!
AntheaB
If he's anything like mine beanie he'll tuck himself right away in the rain and won't come out until it stops! Our lot are a right bunch of woosies! Staying positive and sending out those vibes for the little fella and for you x
Beanie245
Come on Tucker probably like you we got a bit wet looking for you tonight and know you hate the rain too so keep dry little man.
Going over all area's again and leaving scents from home ...
Thinking someone is keeping him from coming home but he is pretty quick at escaping and could be any area by now ... staying positive!!! Last edited: 2011-07-07 22:13:24 by Beanie245

We pray for calls Good or Bad....Thankfully for us another false alarm.. although the owner's of the little dog in question were notified and he was claimed thanks to the "lost dog" awareness of a very considerate Finder/helper.
Re instating some of the posters for Tucker stating STILL MISSING ... people seem to take them down too quickly.. so annoying!!
Thinking of ~Sid, Jasper and Mika also.. any news yet??
Beanie245
So grateful to you all... Rail track and Highways phoned us and thankfully have nothing to report..Search still on and hopefully some news soon.. Good luck to all out there in the same position our thoughts are with you!!
AntheaB
Hi E - further to email as mentioned. Posters up at Collins pet foods disappeared, all three! I'll do another batch and we'll see what happens this time, and check what else is there at the same time. If our 3 go missing again, we'll 'know'. xx
B30
Thanks Ellie and Snowdrop for taking Tucker's poster and all the other posters to the show. Hopefully lots more people looking out for him now.

AntheaB
OMG! E, I've been holding my breath all day on that. Didn't dare text or email you in case you thought it was news of another kind. Did you have to do another ID after all? Sorry E, will email u later - can't get into my home mailbox from work, only websites. A xx
Beanie245
Thankfully the possible bad news we had at the weekend proved not to be about Tucker.... he IS still out there!!!
Come on Tucker stay safe and follow your nose home... there is a BIG treat waiting for Ken-tucky!!

I too hope you will have some good news soon. At the show so many people read our posters and were indeed emotional and in tears as we all realise how a dog can go go missing through no fault of our own. without a blink of an eye . You are doing a great job til you find the leads to bring him home,

Snowdrop
Tuckers poster was seen by practically everyone at the dog show today along with other missing local dogs. We managed to raise a really nice amount of money for dog lost. Im praying that this news you are following up means that tucker will be home soon xxx
Beanie245
Thanks Scrappy.. Ellie hope you and Snowdrop are having a good day at Oadby and that the people there appreciate the good work your doing!!

Posted more posters and leaflets to farm shops, parks, nature walks, bridle paths etc... no more news re ransom call on witheld number but family have helped us to be able to offer a larger reward for Tucker's safe return. Thank you so much Mandy the more people that know the better... We have received calls from kind well wishers re our search saying they will keep looking for Tucker until we find him... one lady said she is borrowing a dog to search with and walk as she has not got a dog of her own.... Grateful thanks to Ellie and Snowdrop its fantastic to know your out there rooting for Tucker... he seems to be doing his best to find his way home (Yes he hates the rain!!)so please please keep looking, any posters much appreciated we posted up as far as Lubenham but do not know the area that well so may have missed some choice places... particularly heading back towards A6/Foxton locks/Braybrooke side as we ran out of posters.
We have special thoughts for Jasper AntheaB 's little terrier please keep a look out for him too.
We are so thankful of everyones support.
Ellie
Just back, not a lot of news I am afraid, though it was raining so Tucker could be hiding low. Did some more postering particularly round the Harborough Leisure Centre, most other areas seem well postered by his owner. In Harrington I spoke to a very friendly man walking his dog and he said it was his wife who phoned with the sighting a few days ago but hadnt seen him since. Time to be found Tucker, stay safe until then.
Ellie
I will go for a drive over to Harborough later this evening when its quieter for a scout round and take extra posters with me. Stay safe Tucker
Snowdrop
Nothing to report after my walk im afraid, Tucker - i had tastey treats for you!
B30
Snowdrop, mayby you've already done your walk by now but if you see any posterless places and could put a couple up for Tucker it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Snowdrop
going to walk my dog in this area today, keep checking his story and only 20 minute drive away for me. Does any more postering need doing while im there?

Great News on the sighting of Tucker and thanks for your call this morning - I will action it shortly

Not wishing to Hijack Tuckers thread at all but to answer scrappy2010's question re the amount of found dogs in NN areas - yes there is a simple answer - the pound in Northants is working with us an allow me to go in once a week and photgraph the stray intake which comes from 8 warden services from Milton Keynes up to Rugby area - hence all the founds on one day every week - the same applies with the dogs I list for OX27 this is another pound working with us and emailing over pictures and descriptions when they can
Beanie245
GOOD NEWS... sighting of Tucker reported today !!! He was possibly seen on in Harrington village just a few miles away .. massive leaflet drop to all houses and further villages. Also a call stating he may be in the Market Harborough area... so we are investigating every avenue we can think of.... please everyone keep looking he is still out there and like Jasper AntheaB's little dog need all the help they can get!!Last edited: 2011-06-23 10:28:59 by Beanie245

Really think someone should highlight it to the Police and RSPCA in that area, i presume it is there job to investigate these things.??? Have shared Tucker on FB again tonight.x
Beanie245
I agree Scrappy, I assume most owner's put discs on their dogs it seems strange so many dogs are found without their collars or discs!!
Combing the area plus another Large laminated poster campaign.. keep searching every lost and found site and newspaper ads etc I can find in the hope of seeing Tucker and Jasper...Good luck to everyone else in their search and a huge thanks to those of you out there doing your part just because you care... your all priceless.
Scrappy2010
5 foundi OX27, that is next door to NN, is it not, and all listed with a date of 20 June. Why does it look like more dogs are found in NN than any where else. Last edited: 2011-06-21 09:41:53 by Scrappy2010

Sorry but I really do think there is something going on in Northampton with missing dogs. Beanie mentioned it a couple of days ago I think. I counted 17 dogs found in NN7 on this website this morning. I also think someone is stealing them in the hope that there is a reward offered and then dumping them when none is offered. This is the only explanation that makes sense. Or is there another explanation??????
Beanie245
Really grateful Chappers Tucker needs all the help he can get.
Still no news... have emailed all radio stations again hopefully will broadcast our Missing Dog alert..
Northants radio have been very helpful. Made another search around location with our other dogs.. Praying!! Searching all the sites makes you aware of all the other families going through the same distress.. keeping a look out for antheaB in her search for Jasper too.Last edited: 2011-06-20 23:59:34 by Beanie245

Beanie I'm sorry there's been no news yet. Ive merged Tuckers two photos on his poster and lightened them a little so that you can see him clearer and I've also sent his poster to the Northants TLO in case travellers have picked him up.

A friend(village nr corby area) rang to say her two dogs a black lab and a golden retriever both mysteriously went missing yesterday, they searched all night but following a phone call to their landline claiming to have found the dogs.. which were kept overnight (although this number was not on the dogs discs) they suddenly reappeared today along with another dog(awaiting description) which was shortly claimed by the man in question.
Lucky to have their dogs back they did not question but thought it seemed very strange.. just maybe there is someone out there picking up dogs for the reward??? Last edited: 2011-06-19 17:19:06 by Beanie245

So glad the people that found this little man had compassion for animals. It is sad that the poor little dog was dead but at least he will rest in peace, so thank you Beanie. I am also checking other sites on a regular basis for Jasper and Tucker. We wont give up on these little guys.x
AntheaB
Thank you so much for all your help Beanie and for doing that for the poor little mite you found. Everyone here should know that Tucker's family very kindly buried the lost soul on their land so he could rest in peace with people who really care. You're far too modest - sorry, had to be said! I'll put the postcard up for Tucker I told you about before we go away for a few days, but someone will be monitoring this for me and I've told several people to look out for Tucker. Don't forget to try to post office thing - hasn't produced any results for Jasper yet, but that's not saying it won't for you. I truly, truly hope Tucker is home with you very soon. xxx
Beanie245
Many thanks Sue for that you have all been wonderful its comforting to know that someone out there cares too!
Beanie245
Although our postcode is NN6 we are right on the border of NN14 (1mile) where Tucker was last seen on the day he went missing we have searched high and low including the Quarry at Orton... Did a massive poster and mail drop to all surrounding villages, vets, dog wardens/kennels etc etc, even local radio alerts... One call today although not our dog but have passed info on in case helps anyone else still looking. Thanks to all for your support and help please, please keep looking any news good or bad greatly appreciated however insignificant it seems we are desperate to get him back.

The owners have horses and Tucker likes to follow them. The owner locked Tucker and another dog up in the dog run when she was riding out with her horses, but Tucker managed to escape and ran off.

The owners proceeded to drive around, asking all the local people and someone confirmed that he had last been seen running towards / in the nearby village of Orton. Tucker HAS run off to that village before and taken in interest in another dog in the village, so the owners of that dog have been notified.

The owners have driven round all the surrounding villages, tried to contact local traveller camps, and have notified dog wardens, rescues, kennels etc.

Tucker was wearing a green collar with a tag attached containing the owners details including phone number and address.
