i emailed breckland dog site and they said she is eating well, putting on some weight and will be up for rehoming if not claimed. i hope a loving home is found.

jobadger,I really do not know.I guess that you could give the Dog warden a ring.
As i mentioned,i just see them up on the Breckland Stray dog/Council dog warden site with the photo's and post them up here,in the vain hope that someone has lost them.It is a shame that there seems to be a bit of a gap from the date they were found to the date they go up on the councils site.

Yes,fingers crossed this poor dog gets a home.Having blown the photo up,I think it is possible a female and am looking at it's coat,Maybe it was a more russet type brown all over at one time,like the colour on it's back.Looks like it has been starved for a very long time and,as you say,maybe came from elsewhere .Maybe just had puppies?

IT DOES SAY ON THE BRECKLAND SITE THAT THE DOGS ARE WELL LOOKED AFTER AND RECEIVE ANY VETINARY TREATMENT BUT I WONDERED WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THEIR 7 DAYS WERE UP. THIS ONE LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN WANDERING A LONG TIME AND COULD HAVE COME FROM A DISTANCE AWAY.

I truly do not know-I just see them up on the site and post them up on Doglost.
I do not know the dog warden at all,but at least,although they seem to be posted up a while after they are found,there is the faint chance that an owner might recognise the photo.
My heart break for this one-maybe it is a stolen one from another part of the country.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
