I work in CO area and keep a look out all of the time, if I see or hear anything I will let you know through dog lost. Don't give up there are people who care and keep an eye and ear open. I will spread the word with my work friends who live in the area.

Lyla's owner has re registered her but rather than start a new page we will remove that new one, and bump this original page for the anniversary of Lyla going missing. I am talking to owner, Sue, to see if we can figure out what happened to this sweet baby. I have new photos, but think these original ones are quite nice to keep here. x

STILL MISSING! If anyone has any ideas where she may be PLEASE contact me. Yes I have been in touch with British Rail, they have to report ANY sightings and she has not been seen by any Train Driver/Guard on any part of the railway, but thank you for the thought Rachel. It is very kind of you.

I walk my dogs daily in Highwoods Country Park & still regularly wonder about Lyla. Have you contacted British Rail as the meadows are so close to the railway line? Awful thought, sorry, but as there's been no more sightings... Just wanted you to know she's not been forgotten about, I'm sure I'm not the only one keeping a look out for her and I really hope her chip will bring her home to you soon.

I do sincerely THANK EVERYONE for all their efforts

Just to let everyone know, my girl is STILL missing. By the way, the above is incorrect, insofar as she is chipped. If anyone has any ideas of what I can do next, please let me know. One month has now passed and I am not coping well with all this. Her companion Louis is a very depressed dog, without his best friend.

The most important thing you can do is poster everywhere quickly, especially where she was lost (cover that area well first) but also outwards, say a mile, in all directions in case she circles. You may already have done this, but do as many as possible where dog walkers go, in the eyeline of motorists, where children play, etc. It is imperative that everyone knows Lyla is missing and you will have more sightings. Brilliant that you have one already! Good luck for tonight! You can do this and you can find her. x

Today the owner found out that Lyla had been sighted yesterday in the area she went missing. Walked the area today but unfortunately no sign of Lyla . Owner going again tonight at 9pm and at 5am Sunday. Am bumping due to the sighting.

Sorry to see Lyla is missing. I will email you some advice guidelines and contacts. Will cross post on FB etc and spread the word. Can't stress how important posters will be. I presume she went missing on a walk, she may head back to the area she ran from so worth looking around there, leaving an old towel/item of clothing somewhere nice and safe and quiet so she can pick up on a familiar scent if she does head back that way.

Sorry to see that LYLA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
