Apologies for the delay in updating everyone, pleased to report the gorgeous Bobby is BACK HOME with his family.

It has been a turmoil of events and Keith did have to go to Court. Bobby has been reunited but with restrictions, he has been NEUTERED, CHIPPED and TATTOOED, he has to wear a muzzle while in public places.

Keith and family are overjoyed to have him back where he belongs and so they should be, what great owners, they have been through so much over the past years.

Bobby is back to his normal self, pinching socks etc and running off into the garden to be chased, he has such a character.

It is great to finally be moving Bobby into the BLUE. Sending Bobby lots and lots of hugs and cuddles from everyone on DL.

Family and myself would like to pass on sincere THANKS to everyone who has supported them and they have had so much support from AIN who have helped them all the way through the Court process. They are brilliant and have over the years helped so many families in the same situation.

There is not much more to say now but WELCOME HOME BOBBY. xxx
CP
Dare we ask, Jan, is there any update on Bobby? I do hope the passage of time will bring with it some good news...
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Will update shortly. Jan x
CP
Yes, I hope too that Keith gets some comfort from knowing we are all still out here keeping track of any postings, and rooting for Bobby's reunion with him at the earliest possible moment. It seems shameful to keep someone in an emotional turmoil for so long.
DogLostJackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
Jan, I hope Keith knows we are all still thinking of him and rooting for Bobby. I can't believe its taking this long. Come home soon Bobby :)
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Spoke to Keith last night, Bobby is still not home yet. :) Hopefully it won't be too long now.

Keith has been through so much over the past few weeks and needs his boy home, where he is loved. Jan x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
These situations can be very long and drawn out and it is a very frustrating time for Keith and his family. Keith is one of the nicest owners I've ever met and Bobby means the world to him. Keith really appreciates everyones support. Jan x
CP
Yes, Jan, thanks for updating. It's a daily log on procedure with me to check Bobby's progress as, I'm sure, it is with all others on this thread. I trust Keith and his family know he has lots of support and we are all routing for Bobby's return as swiftly as it can be made possible.

Thanks for letting us know Jan x

Thanks for posting on Bobby's page.

Things are still going on behind the scenes and up to now Bobby is still not back home. :( Keith is getting a lot of help and support from a local kennels who are experienced in dealing with these situations.

It is a very traumatic time for Keith and his family we are with them 100% and will up date when there is more news. Jan x

My heart went when the posts had gone from 39 to 40, thought there might be some news :( Agree CP, seems to be taking a while. Goodness how Keith and his family feel.
CP
Any news on Bobby yet? Surely the police could move quicker than this....!
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Still no news on Bobby, I spoke to Keith yesterday. Jan x

What a frustrating wait for Keith and his family. Everyday I am checking Bobby, hoping he is back home with his family soon.
Thanks again Jan x

Spoke to Keith earlier tonight, Bobby has still not been assessed and nothing will be happening until after Bank Holiday. Will update as soon as we know more.

Sending Keith, family and Bobby lots of good luck wishes and hope it is not too long before we see him back home and in the blue. Jan x
Goldenfrodo
Fingers tightly crossed all goes well for Bobby xx

He's only a baby.
CP
I'd like to thank you, too, Jan for keeping us informed and enlightening us re the necessary procedures to be gone through. It's good to know there's so many caring people posting on Bobby's page. If well wishes alone brought him home he'd be with Keith right now.
DogLostJackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
I can't imagine how Keith feels. I'm checking back every day hoping for good news for this gorgeous lad. Keeping fingers and paws crossed that Bobby is back home with his family soon :)

Thanks for keeping us up to date Jan xx

Bobby is still not out of the woods yet, it depends on how the assessment goes. Jan x
lf2000
THIS IS such good news.. i dont know i just thought if pit types were found they would be destroyed... not had to learn im afraid... so glad that at the end of all this bobby will be back home... im sure his family will make up for it :)
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks everyone for your comments, sorry for the delay in updating you.

I have been in contact with Keith every day and he has followed up the advice and contacted someone local who is very experienced when dogs are being accessed, they are supporting Keith. Would like to pass on a MASSIVE thanks to them.

Bobby is currently no longer at the RSPCA and is being assessed by the Police. Without going too much into detail once assessed if it is found he is of 'Type' he will be NEUTERED, CHIPPED and TATTOOED before going back to Keith, this was something Keith was going to do anyway.

Hope this answers some of your enquiries. Thanks. Jan x
CP
Keith, understand you're not too au fait with use of internet; but is it possible to let us know how Bobby is coping with kennel life? He looks a beautiful boy and it's such a pity you're having such a long wait...
Unknown
I now of someone who worked at battersea and said she had to make decision as to whether dogs were pit bull or not. I feel sorry for people who really do love their dogs and may lose them because they genuine don't know when they buy them.
k9collie
If they will not give him back to you then you could try this contact http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Wheldon-Law-Specialist-Canine-and-Criminal-Lawyers/150811211620082 I hope you don't need to & that you get him back quickly. He looks adorable.
lf2000
How long will it take to before they know about this dog being checked?
Rileys Mum
Trial by tape measure... hmm, i shall keep my opinions on that to myself. Good luck Bobby, hope to see you returned home to your family safely really soon. Be a good boy until then xxxx

Just checking the AW site and they have now added Bobby's photo which I'd emailed to them last night along with Rocky SBT missing in L4. Jan x

Great news he is safe. Hope the assessment goes ok. Really hope its a good outcome x

CP, that is exactly what I said to Keith, there was the worry of him being so close to the M57.

We cannot stress enough the importance of visiting kennels in person and not relying on phone calls alone. It is great that Keith visited again and checked all the kennels even the ones inside which is where Bobby was.

Going back a couple of years while I was in the kennels got talking to a family and after the description they gave I seen a dog matching his details. When family registered him on DL and got it touch I emailed a photo and it was him (TEECO ID 18750). Family had not checked ALL the kennels inside, he was in K90. On the same day while in the RSPCA matched (SASHA ID 18741) again owners had rung the kennels, even while I was on the phone they said it cannot be her because of the way she was behaving. But she was under stress being in the kennels and family lived in Southport which is a fair distance from the RSPCA. At the time we did not have a photo on DL to compare. These are only two examples of how dogs can be missed. Jan x
lf2000
Cant you get a blood test as a last resort? I dont know anything about how poilce check these things??
CP
Fantastic news that Bobby is found! Delighted for Bobby and Keith. Let's hope the good news continues with the police assessment. At least he's secure and being fed in the meantime, and not running scared and hungry.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Keith has not long rung, Bobby is in Halewood RSPCA but is being assessed as a ‘Type’. He has been in there since last Tuesday.

I visited on Saturday and when first speaking to Keith I said I'd seen a dog in there which looked like Bobby, Keith had been in there on Saturday before I got there and said he had seen the dog I was referring to and it was not Bobby. Keith went back today and it was Bobby, he was in one of the kennels inside.

Have given Keith some advice of who to contact if he needs help. He has got to wait now for the Police assessment. Keeping everything crossed for him. Jan x

Thanks solitairjane and CP. I've just tried to ring Keith for an update, no answer will try later when I get home from work.

I did ask Keith to register on DL and leave updates on Bobby's page, he did say he is not very good with IT and it is mainly a family member who has done the IT things on the net. Jan x
CP
Have dropped off Bobby's poster at Alder Vet Hospital who have offered to display it and he has been logged in their book of lost dogs against which they check regularly. This book was checked whilst I was there in case there have been any injured dogs answering his description within the last few days. Alder Vet. Hsptl, as you know Jan, is the first port of call for injured found dogs via dog wardens.

You need to be visiting halewood regularly too and think about local paper advert. Thinking of you and bobby and hope you are reunited very soon. X

Thanks Chris, will pass your message onto Keith. He did say he had been in touch with a few Police Stations and they were all very helpful. Jan x
Chris

Thanks Jayne. :)

Discussed with Keith last night the possibilities of Bobby getting onto the East Lancs and to try Leigh Cats & Dogs Home. If picked up by Liverpool or Knowsley DW he would still end up in Halewood. Keith is also going to contact the Highways Agency as not far from M57 motorway. Jan x

Forgot to add - if that was an accurate sighting of Bobby near the Shell Garage (and we don't know whether it was or not), then could I suggest approaching the Golf Club, which is extremely close by, with a view to them allowing posters to be placed within their grounds?
CP
Jan, thanks for all you do. So relieved owner made contact with DL & you. All systems go, hey; full steam ahead!
CP
Keith, looking at Fazak. L10 on the map, there's a lot of open spaces; you may have thought of this, but have you checked the usual spots you take Bobby for his runs - he could have made for a familiar, fun place. There seems to be some industrial complexes, too, which would be fairly quiet for him to hide should he, by now, be a bit frightened.

CP, guessed it was you who rang Keith and gave him DL details, thank you. :)

Bobby is a much loved boy and is being missed tremendously. Keith sounds like a great owner and is doing a great job in his search for Bobby. Jan x
CP
Really pleased to see you managed to get Bobby's details on Doglost, Keith. Best of luck; you'll get some tremendously valuable help and support. I do hope Bobby's home soon. Onward and upwards with the postering so that as many people as possible know about him - it has been the aid to so many dogs' return on this site.
