Not long finished speaking to Molly's happy family, who were walking Molly along the Canal.

Docks Port Police phoned them at 1.30am they had her in the office, two workers who do not speak English were taking a break and managed to get hold of Molly and they had seen the posters so knew about her. When family went to pick her up she was asleep in the office. Molly woke up and went berserk when she seen her family. She is looking very thin and slept in the car on the way home. She will soon be back to normal and when family come down from cloud nine hopefully a reunited photo will be sent.

Family would like to pass on their THANKS to DogLost for all the support and help they have had and also to everyone who helped in the search.

It was great to get the news especially after the sad news on Digby. A massive welcome home Molly. Jan x

Thanks Sandy 84 :)

Just had a text from family great news there has been a SIGHTING.

A driver at the docks saw one of their posters and has not long phoned to say he seen her yesterday 15.30pm off Knowsley Road, Bootle L20.

They are going to split their time now between the docks and houses. Come on Molly we want to see you in the BLUE. Jan x

been around industrial estates today no sign of Molly, the area is vast but take heart that there are lots of people about, workers, houses and the lorry drivers. Gave some posters to the drivers today and also some firms on the estates but posters need to go right along dock road so drivers who are sitting waiting can see them. I'll go back tomorrow with more posters on the way to the marina. Good luck hope she is back home soon.

Have gone through with family about trying to use a portable BBQ in the area, they are going to look into it. This has worked wonders in the past drawing at hungry dog out. Stressed the importance of taking the gently approach if they do see her and to give her time to recognise them. Jan x

Thanks again J MO and CP for all your help.

Unfortunately there is still no news on Molly. Family are still out searching the area and putting up posters and handing out smaller ones. It is thought Molly did slip under the fence somewhere to get into the Docks as the gates were closed. Family have said the area is vast and lots of places for her to hide.

As she is only young and her chip is one of the newer ones there is more of a chance it being picked up. We are all rooting for her. Jan x
CP
Appreciate the concern of what you're saying JMO. Jan, have checked with Alder Vets Hsptl with no success (which I expect is a blessing), but they were very reassuring when the chip was mentioned. From experience, I know this surgery is thorough in checking for chips.
J MO
Thanks CP. I'll see what I can do. Been in Bootle today but no sign. I know from people that I work with that Molly may have slipped through fencing onto the docks that people can't go through. Need to publicise with the Docks people as much as possible.
CP
Hi JMO - the only name I can give you is Dave and even with my diplomatic powers (!) I cannot obtain a surname. As I pointed out there is only one warden for Sefton and I know he is long- standing there, but I realise you could well need both names to locate internally....
J MO
Do you know the name of the Dogf Warden? I work for Sefton Council and can chase it internally.

Thanks J MO and CP for your help is greatly appreciated. CP I will check the numher you have posted for the DW against the number I have.

Not had an update since yesterday of any sightings.

She has been reported to the Out of Hours AW see her registered details in an earlier post on 7.05.11. DW's contact numbers for the area and surrounding areas were in the advice/email sent to family member but with it being the weekend they may have not been able to get in touch with them. If picked up she would be taken to Halewood RSPCA which covers Liverpool/Sefton/Halton.

Just spoken to Halewood RSPCA and she has not been handed in. They have said if she was injured it is Alder Vets who she would be taken to.

It is good that she is also CHIPPED.

The last sightings were reported when she was seen on the Docks CCTV and this was reported to the Dock Land Police who went to the area and actually seen her but she ran off very scared. There will be more staff working in the area now, we are hoping she stays in the fenced dock area and does not get out she is a lot safer where she is. Jan x
CP
Have contacted Sefton Dog Warden which is only accessible through Sefton Plus on 0845 140 0845 and given all Molly's details. They are now fully aware of her plight. Unfortunately, there is only one Dog Warden in Sefton and I'm advised he would not go onto dockland premises unless invited. In addition Molly's ID no. and DogLost web site have been relayed to Sefton Plus for the Dog Warden to use if necessary. For info., out of hours Animal Warden no. is 0845 241 7253. This service takes over after 5 o'clock, weekends and Bank Holidays, but I'm sure Jan will have supplied this detail.
J MO
Have forwarded details of Molly to Mersey Port and Harbour Co who man the docks area in Bootle and have given them the owners mobile number and asked them to ring if the see Molly. Will also email Hugh Baird College with a poster and ask them to display the poster on their notice board. Hugh Baird is at the top of Miller Bridge. Still trying to find out who the Dog Warden is in Sefton.Last edited: 2011-05-09 08:50:04 by J MO

Thank J MO. :)

There was a sighting of her approx 1.30am in the Dock Land area this morning, she was running very scared. Family have been there all night looking for her. I've stressed the importance of how to behave if they see her and they are leaving items of clothing for her. The area she is in is vast but confined with a fence so hopefully she is safe away from the main roads but there are lorries on the land.

We are all willing for her to found soon. Jan x
J MO
I am in Bootle tomorrow so will poster and look out for her
