Thank you everybody for your care help and concern about Poppy a special thank you to Helen who scooped her off the motorway out of harm and kept her at her home. Thank you also to Suzanne for checking on the site to see if she was registered. I cannot thank you all enough. Poppy is now the proud owner of a extendable lead which will now become her best friend :-)

I wish I'd checked DogLost sooner but I only discovered you last night, I'll certainly be looking on here first if we get any more dogs brought in. I have sent a text to the number given on the poster, and I'm going to head in to work later today to ring the finder and pass all of this information on so hopefully Poppy will be reunited with Simone by teatime! I met Poppy yesterday and she is so lovely and deserves a happy ending!

Poppy is safe, she was handed in to the vets where I work, we tried to get hold of the dog warden but the number was just ringing out, the lady who found her is looking after her until tuesday when she is going to call the dog warden, sadly I don't have the lady's telephone number on me and the vet's isn't open until tuesday,in the meantime I will try to sort something out if I can, but please don't worry.. Poppy is safe!!

Thanks Simone for registering and posting on her page, I was just about to update her page after we spoke earlier tonight.

Poppy was on a walk not far from her home, she went missing through a hedge and Simone heard a car beeping its horn. They search the area for a while and she was nowhere to be seen. The Police have said there was a report of a small loose dog on the Motorway in the area around the time she went missing, the Highways Agency have confirmed they have not picked any dogs up.

The AW's took the found JRT (Ref: 232947) to Simone's house and they confirmed it was not Poppy, this girl has been taken to kennels. Pity it was not Poppy.

Simone is going to Manchester Dog's Home tomorrow and I've advised they report her missing with PetMedics they are the 24 hours vet and take in injured dogs, people do also report found dogs to them or take them to the vet.

I'll do various size posters a.s.a.p. Jan x

Poppy went missing on the 28th at around 5.15 she got out of the fields at the back of Wythenshawe and ran onto the slip road to the M56, think it is Junction 5????

Just noticed, the area she was lost from should read Newall Green, Wythenshawe, Manchester.
Really hope the dog mumstaxi found on AW is Poppy, keeping my fingers crossed :)
