I do not live in Swindon but still in the town part of most weeks.I shall be in Swindon next week and if there is anything at all i can do to help i will. I know of an older person who is looking for a new dog- are there any quiet ones that would suit her looking for a home? I would foster dogs from the pound myself, but i have two of my own and they would have to all get on!

pointerlover: her seven days are up nxt week meaning if she can not find a place either foster or rescue (& so far no place has been found) she will be PTS :(

Sadly even Swindon nowadays are running out of places for Dogs such as Staffords :(

When you say "not safe" does she need a rescue place or a foster home ?. Is there no place for her at all?. How long has she got for one to be found?. I thought that as Swindon was a pound that never had to pts their strays, now that a few have been reunited or found a safe place it would mean the others had a chance to find homes or rescue places without time being the issue.

No sorry she is not safe but this is what the Kennels say about her
"Approx 18months
NOT m/c
Little barky on meeting some people when she in kennel.
Fine when out oR after a treat.
Found tied up outside Wicks DIY in swindon on 15/4/2011
She was there for several hours.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
